Grafix Clear Dura-Lar Pad, 25 Sheets, .005mm, 9 in x 12 in

This is so fun to use with colored pencils. I saw a video of this product being used for colored pencil art. I had to get my hands on some, and so glad I did. It is so fun to use.

This film is exactly what I needed. I purchased the film to make grid templates as a drawing aid. Sometimes I need a grid with smaller squares for smaller originals and, for larger images, I use a larger scale grid. The film is crystal clear and colorless and does not interfere with the image underneath. Using a metal ruler and a fine tip Sharpie it was tedious to make the grids but they should last indefinitely. The Sharpie marker ink does not smudge. I saw online that it is important to use a cork-backed metal ruler with the Sharpie because, with a plastic ruler that is flush with the surface, the ink would pool under the ruler.

I bought this Grafix Dura-Lar Pad, .005mm, Clear 9x12 in for making face shields. It works great. I had previously tried running empty laminating sheets through the laminator, but had trouble with bubbles in it. Dura-Lar is a bit more expensive, but a lot less hassle and results in a clearer better quality face shield.
