GranAroma Ground Nutmeg, Sweet & Aromatic Spice, Baking & Cooking 2.4 Ounce

I was surprised when I received this nutmeg. I'm used to having my nutmeg a little more lighter than my other seasoning. we're going for my nutmeg, I had to double check, because I thought that I was reaching for allspice or ground cloves. I haven't seen nutmeg this dark before. I'm just saying I cook a lot and I use all of the seasoning a lot. but outside of this net med, I think it's a little more milder than the ones that I normally use. I had to put a little bit more. and also doing my sweet potatoes, my sauce turn darker than usual. a little too dark for me. so I really couldn't use that much. so I don't know if it's a blend with allspice what clothes which they are darker in color. I think I prefer my nutmeg a little more rich and taste and lighter and color. the comparison that I have is the nutmeg and my cinnamon. my nutmeg is usually lighter in color as the cinnamon. the nutmeg that I have is dark in color. not sure of the way they dehydrated or if it's something else that's not posted on ingredients I don't know this is just my stance on it. the smell is not so inviting to me it has an underlying still type of smell. just hard to depict. I'm a lover more of nutmeg and cinnamon so this is just my observation. yours may be different. not sure if you can see the difference on camera but in person this looks like allspice but don't smell like allspice
