this umbrella is exactly what I was looking for. I have a small patio and needed a tilting umbrella to block the sun in the afternoons and it works perfectly. It seems to be good quality, and I love the red color. The rectangle shape works great. I would definitely recommend this umbrella.
At my condo, my patio porch faces the sun in the afternoon and sets beautifully just behind the skyline. It’s pretty awesome, but the problem is it’s so hot from about 3:30-7:30 that the patio hasn’t been able to be used. I tried umbrellas, and sun shades, losing them to the wind and elements. So…I saw this and thought why not. First, it was super easy to install to my patio fence. Like 5 minutes easy! I put it where my favorite seat is that I never get to sit in, tossed the umbrella around in a circle where the clamps meet, and voila! The sun was still there, but it kind of wasn’t. We’re talking instant gratification here. After trying it, I thought it was great, and when finished, I unclamped it, circled it back to take it down until it looked like a stick again. Well…the next day there was no sun…just rain and some HEAVY winds. I thought to myself, here’s where my other attempts lost. Wouldn’t you know it, the thing did not move a muscle. The clamps held firm against the terrifying winds, and when it was all over, it was still in tact, seemingly smiling at what the weather tried to do to instill its will against a seemingly frail pole. To be fair, I did add a few zip ties to the bottom and top rail of the pole. If you have an apartment patio or condo, this is absolutely a must have, and for the price, you just can’t beat it
It was a bit tricky to understand how this works. It’s sturdy. It tilts and rotates! I wanted this to provide shade over my patio door as I have full sun in my backyard. It takes a bit of maneuvering. I recommend getting a sturdy base 20 lbs to stabilize this. I bought a 20%23 half round base, but I think a full round base would be better.
Easy assembly and easy to unfold when not in use. It was a little difficult when placing a base since it was not included. Made some manual adjustments, and now the item blocks the strong rays on my balcony.
It's not an umbrella, but that's not what we were looking for to use on a sunny balcony at our condominium. It set up easily, moves directions easily. We purchased a 50 lb. base and set it on a moving plant stand, which makes it easy to maneuver according to the sun's direction. It was a very good buy, and the price was right.
The umbrella was easy to install and adjust for sun coverage. In the southwest sun you can still feel the suns heat so it does not block all the sun but that is exactly what I was after. How well the fabric holds up only time will tell.
Opens easily, totally adjustable to all positions, can be used with bracelet on a Balcony and in an Umbrella Base.
Unfortunately it can only grout on a railing and is not very adaptable to different types of porches. The shade was not great due to lighter color (beige) but color was nice.
I purchased 2. I really loved the objective of this umbrella. The look and shape is exactly what I was wanting. However, it moves around easily. The tighten knob to position the umbrella does not hold a good grip. Umbrella repositions with the slightest breeze.
I put this on my balcony and attached it to the railings bc they did not provide a base. It's only been up for a grand whopping total of 15 days and it has broken completely. Do not buy this unless you intend to use it indoors for decoration only. It is not at all functional.
