The pan works great, even in the oven. The cardboard insert with pan description has information on the back you can't see until after you take it out at home, and even though it's non-stick, I know some of you like myself want to use non-stick cooking spray and it says not to because it has ingredients in it that over time can damage it, making everything stick. Just make sure you read the back.

very nice pan at a great price.

nightprowlertrucker March 17, 2026

i don't like the flat handle, if it was round i would call this pan perfect. I don't think the handle is a deal breaker. but its hard for me due to arthritis. I fried eggs without oil or butter and they didn't stick. I will buy again if it lasts longer than a year.

Non-stick is terrific. Probably the best out there

Zerodough September 21, 2025

This is a terrific non-stick pan. I use a tiny amount of olive oil on it before cooking. Nothing sticks. I also cook mostly on medium on an electric range. The items I am cooking come out perfect and evenly cooked. Cleanup is simple. I usually wipe out the pan with a paper towel and that is enough. If it is especially dirty because of a sauce or something sticky, Dawn powerwash works really well. I have not washed this in the dishwasher because it is much easier to clean it in the sink.

Eggs Just Slide Out!

MamaB719 October 6, 2018

I really like this pan! Absolutely no oil necessary. It's very lightweight and I also appreciate that the handle doesn't get warm. I made breakfast this morning using the pan. My omelettes tend to stick, but the eggs easily slid out of the pan and left the pan virtually clean. The attached pictures show the pan with the eggs as well as what it looked like right after. I didn't even use a spatula to get it out, it just slid onto the plate. I also did fried eggs & bacon. It worked well for this too!

My new FAVORITE frying pan!

Rebecca October 8, 2018

The GraniteRock Non-Stick Scratch-Resistant Frying Pan can be used for cooking, frying and baking. – and that versatility is a good thing! It is non-stick and has been designed to be used without butter or oil. In fact, the recommendation is to avoid using a non-stick spray. It can be used in the oven safely up to 500F and is dishwasher safe. The pan is made of aluminum and triple-coated to provide a non-stick surface. It is "green" and toxic-free, and comes in sizes that are 10", 11" and 12". Before deciding to try this pan, I perused some reviews to get a feeling for the overall take on this pan, and indeed the reviews were mixed. That said, I like to try things out for myself and see where my own point of view falls. Right away I noticed the metal handle and that made me uneasy given I prefer pans with a silicone handle. With a gas stove, one has to be careful when using potholders, especially when you have other burners turned on. Still, it was a concern for me given I don’t use a potholder to grab the handle of any pan. One of my first tests was cooking a rather thick NY strip steak in ghee, which is typically done on medium-high to achieve the char I want. Keeping a close eye on the handle with my potholder nearby, I noticed that the handle didn't begin to get warm until about 5 minutes on medium high and about 5 minutes on medium. When I turned the steak, I was surprised that the steak didn't stick to the pan because it always sticks to the pan that I typically use. Even so, the real test for me was an omelet in the morning. My second test was an omelet topped with diced serrano peppers and cheddar cheese. I literally anticipated to be scraping the omelet out of the pan! I initially heated the pan on medium, and then reduced it to medium low to low as I always do. I was really shocked to find that not only did the omelet not stick to the pan when I flipped it, but the cheese didn't really stick to the pan either. My third omelet test was a success as well. Final thoughts: It is a welcomed surprise to actually find a pan that claims to be non-stick actually live up to its name. I have had a few pans over the years and none of them have truly been non-stick, and while I dislike using non-stick sprays, there hasn't been much of a choice. I felt like the pan heated up quicker than I anticipated, and it heated evenly. If I have fans on even 15 feet away, the air movement tends to move the flame and typically only half of my normal pan heats up, but not this pan. Its heat distribution is very even. Also, very interesting - the handle of the pan didn't even heat up when I was cooking my omelet. Even so, the potholder was nearby. My only complaint, if you will, is that there doesn't seem to be any type of lid that can be purchased to fit this pan. Sometimes you need a lid to retain moisture, such as with cooking chicken. Also, the inserts accompanying the pan state that the company provides a lifetime warranty, but to replace or repair a damaged pan, you must send $9.95 for processing and handling. Even so, the price point for this pan is fair, and if this pan is treated properly, it should last a long time. I am very pleased with this pan from GraniteRock and will absolutely be looking for more items in their product line to replace more pans that need to retire.

Bang for the buck non-stick 10" frying pan.

ralph May 22, 2026

Good "nonstick" pan. I've used it about a dozen times so far. It is reasonably nonstick, but you still need to add a bit of oil or butter to get the desired results. Honestly I would not make pancakes without light neutral oil anyway as pancakes would lack texture without it. Same deal with eggs, a little bit of butter brings out the flavor of fried eggs. As far as durability goes, so far so good. No discernible scratches on the cooking surface. I use a plastic spatula, and only clean the pan with a soft sponge and Dawn. Only time will tell the durability. One other thing, the pan is relatively light but cooks evenly. Also I had a silicone handle cover that fit perfectly, If not for, I would be very careful handling the pan In conclusion, for the price paid, this is a really good pan. Good bang for the buck!

Good ceramic non-stick, bad handle.

Dragonlady22 March 22, 2026

The pan itself gets 4 stars, the handle only gets 2 stars. The non-stick works fairly well and I'm mostly happy with that part, the pan is also light-weight but the handle they put on this pan is one of the worst I've come across in my 50 plus years of cooking. If you have to hand-wash your dishes like I do, holding on to the handle to clean it hurts my hand no matter how I try to hold on to it. They left a sharpish squared-off edge on a thin handle that is very uncomfortable and I've never had a pan with a handle like that. I'm not someone who is easy on their hands at all and not someone who complains about little things, but I really dislike the handle on this pan. I thought about returning it but decided to go ahead and keep it thinking I would get used to it. I still get annoyed every time I wash it, at least it works well otherwise and is quick and easy to clean. I just don't understand why they designed the handle that way. If you use a dishwasher, you could avoid the issue with the handle, that's probably what the product designers and testers did to approve of this pan. Just my opinion, but it is worth noting. Decent pan but not my favorite.

Why are pots and pans made with handles that aren't heat resistant!?! It's nice to be able to handle a cooking pot and/or a cooking pan without a pot holder.

BEWARE! NOT AS ADVERTISED!!!!

Rainestorme December 24, 2018

This pan is NOT a nonstick frying pan! Just like any other pan, you have to use oil, butter, Pam.... SOMETHING to help with the nonstick. Tried to make eggs this morning and they stuck like glue to the pan.... DO NOT BUY THIS, NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!
