Arrived on time. Performed as advertised so far. Read the care instructions and followed by using cooking oil first use. Excellent non- stick and clean up ! Highly recommend !
I bought the first set for myself.. I have used them for a few months and they are exactly as described.. my daughter wanted a set, just got them in a few days ago and now , my granddaughter wants a set.. so very much worth the price.. probably end up with one more set for youngest daughter soon..
I was shopping a local store and found a Granitestone frying pan, because of the non-stick claim. It was a bit pricy so I was hoping for the best. I can't even describe the joy I felt when, per the material included, I cracked an egg into the dry pan. No butter, no cooking spray. Just egg and pan. And that egg fried even, was so slippery on the surface that I actually had a hard time trying to keep the spatula from just sliding it around on the pan. It advertised the use of metal utensils. I have had this fry pan for about 6 months, using metal spatulas, forks, whisks, etc. It's still perfect. I've been trying to find more pieces, but just could not locate them anywhere but Amazon, and holy cow were they expensive. Then, to my utter amazement, Ginny's has decided to carry a whole line. Guess what I'll be getting myself as a pretty gift?
The set itself is fantastic! the green is great, the handles are well secured, and the lids fit perfectly. I got this during black Friday and have waited to review until I used them enough to consider them broken in. The first problem is that there are 0 care instructions. If you're new to nonstick or this is your first set you want to make sure last you're completely lost. Don't let this deter you; I'll tell you exactly what to do. Once your pots are out of the box, hand wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, then dry (don't air dry). Using some vegetable oil (i didn't measure but start with a teaspoon if you'd like) coat the inside of the pan so it covers the bottom and sides. Place this over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Let cool on it's own (putting hot pans even in hit water can cause warping or with the coating it could flake off) then hand wash and dry again. Coat with oil and repeat a second time. While you technically only need to do this once I recommend twice just so you know it is seasoned and ready to go. With my pans there were some areas where the coating was applied a little higher as the line wasn't fully cut by the machine but this has no impact on function nor does it pose a safety risk. For the price I paid I won't dock points for that. My only major complaints are the lack of care instructions for those who didn't have the luck of learning how to care for cookware as a child and that I got a piece of paper that said I could get a warranty on them if I flipped the paper over the instructions were on the other side. The other side was a picture of food with no writing, QR code, riddle, nothing. So they claim there's a warranty but you've no way to register for it or redeem it. Do keep that in mind when purchasing these. Happy cooking!!
I bought a set last summer, and even though I still have some of my other pans, these are my go-to each time. Truly non-stick and I have used metal spatulas and spoons with them. I'm buying another set to give to my niece as she sets out on her own. The only reason for 4-stars is the handles do get hot, so make sure to keep a towel or mitt nearby.
Unbelievable value thanks to Walmart. I was a little disappointed in the weight and handle shape. I followed the instructions and used a little lard at med low temp to basically cure the pans. I only use the small skillet for eggs and use silicone spatulas.. The pans perform as advertised. Love the weight, balance and feel of the knives. Overall a very good purchase..
I don't like the handle. It's not round more of a C shape and uncomfortable to hold onto. It is ok for the price but it seems to try a sell itself for more than it is. You get what you pay for.
The design was great, but ht equality is definitely at the lower spectrum. I personallly would not recommend this product to anyone. I will be getting rid of these items and buying a stainless steel set.
Purchased these a little over 8 months ago and very disappointed. These pans are great for cooking when the non-stick coating does not come off and into your home made sauce. A chunk of coating came off as I was stirring my caramel sauce with a wooden spatula. These should not have this problem, I don't even use metal utensils on my pans. Both small sauce pans can no longer be used as I do not want particles in my food.
These pans are Very thin metal. I was boiling chicken breasts and no other pan does this. Part scorches and the other side still had water.handles get very hot. I would recommend one good T-Fal or Caphalon and add to your cookware over time. These are cheap for a reaso, extremely poor quality.
