Great milk at an affordable price!

Donna July 16, 2026

I like the quality, availability and affordability of this milk. Being on a fixed income, this is an affordable way to get my calcium. It works well for cooking, too. The texture is good and not too watery. I will continue to use this milk as long as it is available.

Pretty dang good.

anonymous June 30, 2026

I can't believe it's taken me this long to try Great Value 1% milk. I've bought plenty of other Great Value products over the years, but this somehow never made it into my cart. After my first glass, I realized I've been overlooking a genuinely good everyday staple. It's fresh, clean-tasting, and has just the right balance between rich and light. It doesn't feel heavy, but it also doesn't taste watered down like some lower-fat milks can. It poured perfectly over cereal, worked great in my coffee, and was just as enjoyable ice cold by itself. Sometimes the products you don't expect much from end up becoming regular purchases, and this is one of them. This made me think of **Ecclesiastes 3:13**: *"That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God."* It's a reminder to appreciate even the ordinary things in life, including a cold glass of milk after a long day. I'll definitely be buying this again. Simple, fresh, and exactly what I wanted.

I save $1 per half gallon at Walmart

David May 10, 2026

Let me be frank, in today's grocery cost environment I prefer this milk item because it is one dollar cheaper and just as good as the NC family grocery store one mile away. After Helene I use a smaller fridge and this size is purchased for fitment reasons. Walmart Brand Milk has a linear price increment (a half gallon cost about half as much as a gallon). My big family franchise store one mile away charges 2/3 as much for the half gallon as the one gallon. I buy 3 half gallons at a time so I'm getting a $3 savings each order. The half gallon sizes seem to stay fresh longer than the gallon size. Also, I find week to week, Walmart grocery prices are more stable than my NC family owned grocery that is one mile away.

A Better "USE BY DATE"

Jeanne July 23, 2026

The "Use by Date" was only good for 6 days on both 1/2 gallons. When we buy milk at the store it is good for at least 10 days or better. If Walmart is going to pull the items for us, we expect them to pull the best dates on dairy products and fruit %26 vegetables to be ripe %26 in good condition. Please see that this message gets down to the person doing the pulling

Delivered milk that expires too soon

Denise April 29, 2026

The reason I no longer want to purchase this 1/2 gallon 1% milk is that they deliver items that expire too soon. One time I received one dated May 6 and the next one (week later) said May 3 so I had to open the 2nd one first while the first one already opened spoiled.

this is another item like the eggs that is hard to order and expect a decent delivery of a product. my milk always goes bad way before the expiration date. but sometimes the expiration date is just a few days beyond the delivery date. I ordered small containers because I'm by myself and I don't drink the milk up quickly. but I know because I can't go in the store myself and pick the ones with the latest dates on them I have to get what you send me. but the fact that you're great value 1% or 2%, court or half gallon, whatever I order goes bad within a few days. I don't know if it's because you don't pack your Frozen and cold foods in a cooler for delivery or if it's because the shopper buys or picks up all of the milk and cheese and refrigerator and Frozen items first and then walks around with them at room temperature until the entire order is finished. if that's how you guys do your shopping you should teach them not to pick up any milk or dairy products such as ice cream, until the last minute. I used to get my groceries from Stop %26 Shop, the nice thing about that is that the Shopper worked at the store and collected the items, and took them to a room where they had freezers and refrigerators and all the delivery people had to do was come in and pick up the proper bags for the proper recipients, and then deliver it. and all the deliveries came in coolers. big giant coolers with big giant ice packs. and they had a cart to bring the coolers up to the apartment door or to the house, wherever they needed to go they didn't leave it downstairs sitting on the floor because they refused to come into a multi-unit building or leave their car in a non parking area. I sure wish you guys had that kind of delivery and packing service. feel like I should go back to Stop %26 Shop.

Milk it's local and tasty.

L5Rick July 14, 2026

It's milk. If it's fresh it's yummy. The only problem I ever have with it is that someone else is picking it from the shelf. I always pick the farthest use by date. Shoppers are hit or miss in checking dates. Recently it's been great. In the past 5 years there have been times...

soured milk before expired

anonymous June 29, 2026

Ordered 2 of the quart size 1% milk. Expiration on both was July 2. The first one was fine but today, on June 30, I opened the second container. It was already soured just 3 days before Expiration. The reason I am having food etc delivered is because I am disabled. I ordered quart size because I can't lift the gallon size. I had to get others to shop for me but on their busy schedules. Not going to order my milk again.

Main problem with this item is your item selectors seem too stupid to realize they need to pick a bottle from the rear of the shelf which will have the latest expiration dates! It does me no good to get a delivery of milk that expires 5 days later! This has happened to me 3 times so far! Please instruct you item selectors for delivery to pick milk bottles from the rear of the shelf which will have the latest expiration dates!!!

Spoiled rotten

Renee May 12, 2026

This is the 2nd time the bill EXPIRED within a day or two of purchase. I wish yr shoppers would check the expiration dates of products bc the buyers get home and have products they can't use and have spent hard earned money for nothing. It's just frustrating
