The Great Value 18 Year LED Dimmable Light Bulbs work perfectly and I love that they are glass and don’t have that plastic part on the bulb like most LED bulbs have these days. I chose the soft white frosted glass. The light bulbs look exactly like regular incandescent bulbs, they fit and screw into the receptacles easily, and they glow brightly immediately upon turning them on. The bulbs are plenty bright enough to light up my kitchen counter area. Although I do not have any dimmable fixtures in our home, that is another great feature of these general purpose bulbs. The bulbs appear to be very well constructed with good thickness glass, the individual packaging is sturdy, and the packaging makes it easy to store unused bulbs in the cabinet. Unfortunately, I can’t assess whether or not they last 18 years as claimed but I surely hope that is a close estimate as that would make these light bulbs super cost effective and also makes them perfect to use in light fixtures that are located in hard to access places. A light bulb that lasts for 18 years also saves me time in terms of not having to change out light bulbs frequently and I now shop for bulbs much less frequently. The bulbs that I chose are a 40-Watt equivalent and the estimated energy cost is $0.66 cents per year per bulb. Overall, these are excellent light bulbs and I would definitely buy these LED bulbs again.

Awesome bulbs. I’ve always been light sensitive, so I was looking for an energy efficient 40 watt bulb. I replaced every bulb in my home. These bulbs are soft light, energy efficient, and incredibly reasonably priced. Also, they’re dimmable. You can’t ask for more. Once again, kudos to Great Value.

I love these LED light bulbs. They are more eco-friendly and claim to last 18 years and if they actually do that, then that will save me tons of money in the long run. I replaced the regular bulbs in my lamps with these soft white bulbs and I am pleased with how well-lit my rooms are. I am looking forward to years of a home that has an illuminating glow.

These are the standard of bulbs I use in my house, it was a awesome pack of bulbs that are in perfect condition, none broke which is always a plus, I had a new lamp that requires 3 bulbs and this package of bulbs was perfect, the lighting these bulbs give off is perfect for me, not to bright not too dark, it doesn't give off a glare.

The Great Value light bulbs are a good value light bulb. They are dimmable and are the soft white frosted glass. The bulbs are supposed to last for 18 years based on using 3 hours a day. They can be used indoor or outdoors if used in an enclosed fixture. I would recommend these bulbs.

We have always tried to use energy efficient LED bulbs whenever possible, but sometimes their abilities are limited. For instance, in closed lamps (like traditional schoolhouse fixtures) or outdoors. These bulbs are allowed to be used in both instances and they have a warm glow - not the stark brightness of traditional LED bulbs. Nice improvement and we like the difference.

I don't usually purchase transparent light bulbs since I prefer frosted LEDs, but these have the added aesthetic of being an Edison-style bulb where you can see the filament glowing through the glass surround. Leaving it on for and hour doesn't create more heat, which I find uncomfortable for a table lamp especially during the Summer. The only negative to this bulb is the wattage isn't as bright as expected, when using a lamp shade. Unfortunately, it's too bright when it's used bare naked without a lampshade, and the light isn't diffused evenly. Otherwise, if it's being used for string lighting over a porch/patio, I guess it'd be fine. The light is warm, not fluorescent bright white like some LEDs I've purchased in the past, so as long as you're ok with incandescent warm lighting, then it's good.

these bulbs are glaringly white light! If you want a soft white bulb this one is not for you. Maybe use in a work area or outdoors at night, but not in a den or bedroom or living room or kitchen! No problem with quality of bulb and excellent price, just not appropriate for normal inside house use.

Doesn't dim like it's supposed to. Branch circuit is dimmed with a conventional TRIAC based dimmer, some bulbs don't light, the ones that do have a horrendous flicker. I suspect these bulbs behave differently with dimmers that adjust frequency as opposed to traditional dimmers that adjust voltage, but I don't have any evidence of this. Another thing I found annoying is that all of the bulbs actually light at different times. These bulbs are poorly designed and it shows.
