I'm now so used to 2% milk that whole milk tastes soured. I use it to drink, cook with (and it doesn't scald easily), and it's not as heavy as whole milk. 1% milk tastes like milk with water added to dilute. It really has to do with your tastes. Never gotten a bad gallon of milk yet.
I'd say "it's just milk" but different brands of milk do taste different. I usually buy Walmart's brand of milk but occasionally will buy another brand. I do like the taste of Walmart's milk and I don't know if this is good or bad, but it stays good (not spoiled ) for much longer than other brands. Not sure why but even a neighbor mentioned that.
I disliked the fact that it had an expiration date of 11-11, and it was sour on 11-6. This is not the first time I've had milk to spoil several days before the expiration date. And yes, my fridge was turned up to 10 because it's still warm in Georgia.
The milk expires before the printed expiration date. This happens every time. I don't know if it's because I get my groceries delivered and they sit at the store waiting to be picked up, or in a drivers car, BUT as soon as they're delivered I bring them in and put away. Or it's just really low quality or isn't being handled correctly by Walmart with temperatures or something
This is the second time when I’ve gotten my milk from Walmart not only is there no foil seal underneath the lid, but the lid is already been opened! Not sure if this is done accidentally as they’re grabbing the milk containers to put into my order or the delivery person or something on tour is happening like Who Knows?. But I can’t drink it. It’s basically a waste. I have to dump it out because I’m not gonna waste my time going into Walmart to do the return. The whole point of delivery so I don’t have to go into Walmart They really should start putting the foil seal on the opening to the gallon of milk or any size milk before also putting on a cap. That’s why I prefer buying my generic milk at Frys. Never again, Walmart.
This brand milk has went bad days, even a week before it's Best Buy date on the last 5 deliveries. I don't mean just starts to sour, I mean completely chunky curdling days before the date. We keep refrigerated and never let it sit out. I picked one up in the store thinking maybe it was bc it was delivered and sat out before I received it but even the gallon I bought in the store went bad a week before it's date, just days after we purchased. I won't ever buy this milk again.
The last couple times I bought it spoiled 4 or days before date. Gets a sour smell and tease and leaves a filmy looking ring around cup like it thick. my refrigerator is on 37 degrees and I have no problem with anything else in refrigerator spoiled just the milk.
This comes from 3 separate customers. Your 2% milk that has more than a week expires days after purchasing. I bought milk from here June 13 with an expiration date of the 26th. It was curdled the 17th. This has been on going for months. Not just your Walmart. Enterprise and South Florida. Until I figure out a solution I have to start buying 1/2 gallons. So it will not spill in 3 days. I will be posting this since a 3rd person just asked me.. from Farm to market there is a break down. It needs to be fixed
Hi I bought this milk the last few weeks while it had a good expiration date, was sour and tasted so bad I had to throw it away 4 times. What’s more no one answers the phone to get refund . So I bought another brand and was told it was unavailable. I think Walmart should give me a refund and check this milk before it gets some one very sick I had to spit it out. I probably won’t get a refund because they won’t answer the phone or email. Very disappointed as usually I have no problems I’m crossing my fingers that this one will be okay and I don’t have to throw this one away. It both wastes my time and my money
I don’t know what has changed with the Great Value milk, but I am very DISSATISFIED. I have been purchasing gallons and half gallons of 2% and whole ever since Great Value milk was first made available to customers. In the past, I have never had a problem. Now however, I have began to notice changes that I do not like such as the jugs are always leaking without a valid reason. The milk expires days, sometimes a week or more before the expiration date. I just don’t understand what has changed and I am very disappointed. Despite being an employee with Walmart, my advice is to save your own time and money and buy another brand.
