I almost hate to review this Great Value 3 Cheese Pasta Sauce. It is so delicious that I'm afraid I will have a hard time getting it if others try it. It has that perfect blend of Ricotta, Parmesan and Romano cheese. I think its the ricotta cheese that gives it that wonderful flavor. Most pasta sauce with cheese don't have ricotta in it, or it's last on the ingredient list of cheeses. With the Great Value 3 Cheese it lists ricotta first. With this pasta sauce I don't need to add extra parmmesan and romano cheese to make it take good. The price makes this an extra special find.
This Pasta Sauce is awesome — Ricotta, Parmesan, and Romano actually make it taste like real cheese instead of orange mystery sauce. I use it on spaghetti, lasagna, and even pizza. Tastes great and doesn't make me feel guilty about the price. I always have some in my pantry.
Mixed this sauce with browned ground beef %26 ricotta cheese to make a delicious lasagna, of course layered the sauce with lasagna noodles and plenty of shredded Italian cheese. .The sauce was thick and it had a very good flavor it wasn't salty. It wasn't acidic. It was really good.. definitely will be the pasta sauce always in our pantry. for families during the week who want a really quick spaghetti dinner, this is your sauce. It takes less than 7 minutes to boil noodles.. excellent price point.
I had no food so I had to cook some five year-old pasta ….because I had nothing to eat But I had this sweet little baby Waiting for me in the cupboard… And all I can say is that nasty pasta had a funky taste, but once I put the sauce on it, it magically disappeared ! It wasn't just edible. It was delicious. . This is magical pasta sauce ! I am trying to stop wasting things, especially food. I have $100 worth of pasta that is expired and I am determined to use it. It's not gonna make me sick isn't hard or weird once you boil it it's fine. So I can take my favorite pasta sauce for Walmart and smother it and store it in the fridge, wrap them up in individual bowls and have myself a bunch of meals for the next few days. It keeps the pasta soft when it doesn't harden and I just get in the microwave And I have a bunch of little meals and lunches and dinners. You should go through your pantry … gather all that pasta that is about to expire and order yourself a bunch of Walmart pasta sauce!!! Start cooking buddy !!
Its ok. I used them for dunking in sauce or cooking in sauce. Will never compare to homemade. Little rubbery as is all mini meatballs. I have had all of them here, all the same except for the prices. Guess cause the way they precook them. Fried or sir fried. I never pan fry mine. Cook in sauce. All in all cook in sauce get the rubbery texture out a little.
The taste is completely comparable to the more expensive brands. I highly recommend this product as the value is excellent! Tomato sauce is one of my favorite pantry staples, as it can be used for so much more than pasta. Pizza topping, soup/chili bases, adding or topping meat loaf, adding to cooked lentils for a high protein Bolognese. Right now with a severe, nationwide tomato crisis that is heavily impacting the US market, this is definitely a great time to pick up a few jars for your pantry. I have purchased both the 3 pack and the 12 pack options. At $1.74 per 24. oz jar you can't go wrong to have an important and wholesome tomato product on hand to keep your family well fed and happy.
Bought 3 of these for a baked ziti I made for 11 people. It was a hit and the sauce was awesome. Definitely recommend and I will absolutely be buying this product again.
Bought it for the price point, but the flavor is honestly just as good as name brand and for less than name brand price. Don't hate on great value, they're worth it in this case
sauce is pretty good for the price. it is however a bit watery. this is more a value based item than truly a great sauce....but price makes it relevant
All your sauces disappeared from the shelves. The ones I like, Meat Sauce and 3 Cheese came back loaded with onions!! I hate onions! I'd rather have like it was before, onion and garlic powder for taste. I found them after opening a jar of meat sauce to use for dipping cheesey bread. I was mad! I read ingredients and found onions were added after the massive pull. Do I bought 3 Cheese, never had to check that one, but when I got home I went to put away and read the label...onions! in the 3 cheese?? I can't take them back cause I was told Walmart throws all food brought back in the trash. I have 5 jars , unopened, that I will not use. I bought Hunts, never tried before..don't taste as good as what I was used to, but I can fix that with spices. I can't remove the onions. WHY DID YOU SUDDENLY ADD ONIONS TO ALL THE SAUCES?? Some people actually don't like them...4bin my family alone. 2 of us switched to Hunts
