Great Value Asparagus Spears, 8 oz (Frozen)

Great Value Asparagus Spears taste so fresh and no worries about forgetting fresh veggies in your crisper until they turn to mush. These frozen spears taste just as good and are not soggy or mushy like the canned/jarred spears. They go great with so many main dishes and as ingredients in other dishes. They are super easy to prepare and they will be just as fresh in a month when you remember you bought them and forget they were in the freezer.

I like asparagus for various reasons and taste is one of them. With this product, it's nice to not have to steam asparagus over a pan of water, but any 'crispness' is lost with this product. I know I kinda like the less than crisp here myself though. Me personally, will keep buying these until I get an urge to steam some crisps again.

This is my favorite side vegetable for a salmon dinner which I consider both the asparagus and salmon treats. The asparagus conveniently steams in the bag and comes out just right for my liking every time. It's a little pricey but for a treat definitely worth it. I love it!

I'm very pleased with this vegetable. Works perfectly for freeze drying. Great for using while making different soups. Dried ingredients for soups or stews are nice to have in your backpack. Camping or hiking essentials. Just add hot water and you have a nice hot meal. At home I like to have these as a regular side with a meat meal. Even my overly picky spouse will eat this. Price is very competitive with other brand names. And the quality is excellent. We like then the best wrapped in bacon. Great in the air fryer, grill, micro wave or oven.

Good for what you would expect from frozen asparagus and the price point. They'll do in a pinch if you need to sub them in for something you would normally serve fresh (like pan seared) and great for having on hand for when frozen veggies shine (like whipping up a batch of asparagus soup whenever I'm craving it).

I know it's not fresh but I now prefer this frozen. It's helped me in prepping foods easier on my diet. I like that the frozen asparagus is already cut the right size with no yuck ends. It makes clean up after cooking go fast! Taste is still good, this is probably one of my more favorite vegetables. I like the steam this with my frozen potstickers and it makes for a good and fast side.

I love asparagus, but I'm not great at cooking it fresh or knowing how to pick it out. I've had different frozen asparagus and this is by far the best, as it doesn't have that woody hard texture that Make it impossible to chew, most do. I've bought this multiple times and asparagus is soft and perfect every time. I love cutting it up and putting it over frozen macaroni and cheese when I'm having a lazy dinner but want to add something healthy to it!

These are really good as an accompaniment for dinner. I am used to eating fresh out of the garden, and these aren't quite as good as that. But they are close. I like my with a bit of melted cheese on them. These are close to garden-fresh without all the work. Buy these and enjoy your extra time. I highly recommend them.

Save your money and buy fresh. You will save money in the long run. Not a lot of useable asparagus in the bag. Most of the bag I purchased were big stalks and very tough and woody. Had to cut most of the stalk off and throw away. I guess it's called great value for a reason, if you like tough and woody asparagus, then this is the asparagus for you. Will not buy again.

I really can't remember when I have ever given a one star before. These were better than canned, but not by much. Thank goodness they didn't smell like raw sewage as the cans did. Nope, these were limp, soggy, and the end were not cut right leaving hard edges. Going to try Bird's Eye, and if not, fine up on anything that's not fresh.
