I’ve bought these a few times now. I was in store one day and they happened to be on sale. I love bbq chips but can’t be trusted with them in the house. These hit the spot and I’ve repurchased a few times now. I just have to exhibit some self control if I’m going to bring them home.
i usually buy these or varieties of Great Value chips but the Barbecue is most definitely my favorite. Why pay $5 for 1 bag of premium chips when you can get way more Great Value chips?! these are sooooooo good, very crispy, just enough seasoning to make a perfect addition to a sandwich or even just a snack. i highly recommend the Great value chips!!!!!!
I use to only buy the Lays chips whether plain or barbecue until prices started going up. Never tried Walmart’s great value chips. So one day I did get the Walmart Value chips and they taste just as good if not better than the Lays. And the price is like 80% cheaper.
these potato chips are much better than Lay's or any other brand. they are light yet crispy and with so much flavor! as long as they keep making them like this I'll never buy another brand. My sister was really surprised when I turned her on to them.
These are really really very good. I mean there are other barbecues that I think are better either because they have like spicy with them or honey barbecue but for just regular barbecue chips if you're comparing them to like Lays barbecue, they are equally as good.
These are the wife's domain more then mine, that being said I do enjoy them now and then with a sandwich. I would not be able to tell the difference between these and a name brand BBQ chip. I don't get that chemical after taste you get with some chips.
Great Value Barbecue Flavored Potato Chips: Excellent Chips, good flavor AND WAY LESS money than the name brands. ONLY draw-back is when Walmart Grocery delivers them they arrive pretty broken up into small pieces. Over-all a great tasting chip and BEST bought in store.
While the BBQ flavor is appealing to me, the texture of the chips can be oddly tough. Some of the chips end up being VERY hard to chew... especially over time, (after the initial opening of the bag was a few days ago.) I'm careful to always close up the bag with a clip each time I get chips out, but they still seem to get a bit hard starting a few days after the bag was first opened.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt as my bag was burnt pretty bad. I think I got a bad batch, so they did not taste that well , the burnt taste gave off a stale taste and with the bbq seasoning it then just tasted like old fire wood brisket chips . They need to fill the bags up a bit more, as I know these are store brand but come on most the bag was air. I may try these again hoping that maybe their distribution center will catch nasty product before it hits store shelves.
This brand of barbecue chips is ok,but Kroger had a brand that was sweet, tangy and a little Hot in flavor...a great barbecue chips brand.so I wouldn't get this over that, but if it's all you got in a pinch then get great value barbecue chips.
