Y’all!! I just started buying Great Value instead of the name brand chips and I will NEVER go back! In my experience, the GV is BETTER than the name brand in every style I have tried. Tortilla chips, scoops, Doritos….GV wins every time. Save your money and get a better product! I’m never going back!
I bought some of these previously (in a smaller bag), and my kids and I almost died from salt overload. We kept trying to eat them, but they were just too much. The more recent formulation is just right! I love the small size, as it fits in my mouth in one bite. These are exceptional for nachos or just chips and salsa. I'm not constantly biting into a chip and having half the toppings and chip spill all over me.
I really like these chips. They are crispy and have the right amount of saltiness. Chip size is great for dips, snacking, and taco salads. 18oz of product is a good deal for the price. The chips are in good condition, not broken, so you get your money's worth that way.
Always buy these because "bite-sized" goes further than regular size. People view the pile as being more food because it's more chips. It's a little trick I use for feeding a lot of people and feeding bigger eaters. It saves you money because 1 bag goes as far as 2 regular size bags. Seems crazy 🤪, but it really does work. It's the number of chips, not the size of the chip. Money saver!!!! And these are delicious chips!
Tastes delicious and are the perfect size to scoop up guacamole, salsa, or any dip you desire. I wish they had a lightly salted alternative. However, these were a hit and I'd definitely buy them again. They didn't taste like cardboard or generic like some store brand products tend to.
They are a good choice for less money and taste is great! They are not thin and have some crunch. So depending on your likes or not. I feel they are the best choice for a less expensive alternative. I re ordered these and they have become my normal til I find a better replacement.
These chips are a standard at our house. I deducted one star because they have changed in the last few months. Though still good, they are now considerably thicker and have less "snap" than previously. They'd be 5 star if they would go back to the old formula.
I was surprised by my purchase of great value corn chips containing a greasy, weirdly shaped corn substance. I've included a photograph of the bag and the whatever you want to call it that was at the top of the bag when I opened it. It was the first thing my fingers touched when I put my hand in the bag. This is obviously a manufacturing error. Quality control has to be at the forefront of your products. Otherwise, as a consumer will lose confidence in future purchases.
There's one big problem. Numerous bags had way too many broken chips. Chips were broken to less than 1/2 size and smaller. Some bags had 30-40% broken chips. I use them to put pieces of sliced cheese and sausage on top. I can't use the small broken chips that way.
Great Value Bite Size Tortilla Chips Party Size, 18 oz Bag are not for me. I felt as if I was eating a bag of salt. I couldn't tolerate them and unfortunately I had bought 2 bags of them in hopes that could hold me until I could find some Mission White Corn Chips. Wrong. My housekeeper loves when I buy things I can't eat, I imagine. Yep. She got those, too.
