Great Value Black Forest Ham, 16 oz

My husband is not a big fan of pork products. But he loved this. He's still raving about this Black Forest Ham. I think it's pretty good as well. But he really loves it. Every time I turn around, it seems he's making a ham sandwich. He's not a huge eater, so that says something. I guess I will be buying this again and again. Thanks Walmart, for a great price for a great product.

I grew up having this type of ham in tons of lunches. This Black Forest flavor is so so good. I've tried it with swiss and havarti cheese with a crusty roll and with plain old white bread. I think you can't go wrong using this alone or with other types of sandwich meat on your sandwich. I'll be buying this again and again.

If you are on a budget and want your dollar to stretch as far as you can, this is the perfect solution. The ham is packed full of protein, perfect for eggs in the morning or lunch wraps for afternoon and pool side. If you are low on energy one of these rolled up will give you the kick you need. I highly recommend!

Tastes very good and like more expensive brands. There's the occasional piece of gristle in it but not too much. I like it for a quick lunch or for use in an omelette. I don't like the added water which can become slimy if you don't use it up quickly.

The packaging needs to be reviewed. The last two purchases I made of these, trying to open the package it was destroyed. It couldn't be resealed. I had to put it in a zip lock bag. Maybe put the reseal strip before the sealed part. I don't know but something needs to be done.

This Great Value Black Forest Ham makes a pretty good sandwich. The slices are thin and easy to separate. Delicious with some mild cheddar cheese between the slices. There are so many ways to prepare these meat slices. Could make a fine Dagwood Sandwich. Pile it up and enjoy. I do.

I don't know why they added water to these ham slices (it says so on the label) - does it dry out over time? I like the resealable bag it comes in, the ham is tasty, and it's a decent price. It makes a great sandwich with some swiss cheese on a regular roll with mustard or, better yet, on a ciabatta roll heated in the microwave for about 30 seconds. The roll gets tender inside and the swiss melts and you're in for a tasty treat.

I suppose I would prefer Green Forest ham on account of forests being green but this stuff tastes just fine, just not like leftover Christmas ham you cut yourself and keep in the fridge for sandwiches the day after. That ham I bake myself, with a nice orange glaze that makes everyone happy. That's not what this stuff is. I don't know, this might even be a ham-like product, one those loaves they make from ground-up ham byproducts (unmentionable) they press together then slice real fine and sell to you as Black Forest whatever. But they nailed the flavor. It's great in a sandwich, but I wouldn't serve it on Easter Sunday with Mam's scalloped potatoes and jello salad. You might get laughed outta your own house!

better than expected and taste great. size of slice and Portion per pound are not accurate. large slices do not fit on any particularly slice of bread that I know of and serving sizes 1 oz according to the package. I would never use that little meat on a sandwich unless it was a mini slider snack, Maybe?

This kinda of lunch meat shouldn't even be close to the price they're charging especially being the generic brand . This is the cheap style lunch meat and for the same name brand stuff it's basically the same price. Great value , you're getting a little full of yourself as of late.
