Great Value Black Forest Ham, Sliced 32 oz Plastic Pouch

This is more than just sandwich meat in our house. I use it all the time for breakfast, dice up a few slices, sauté it in a little butter with some onion, and it takes omelettes to a whole new level. It's quick, easy, and adds great flavor without a lot of extra work. The texture holds up well when cooking, and the taste is really good, not overly salty, just right. My family loves it, and my 76-year-old best friend swears my omelettes are the best she's ever had, so I'm giving this ham a little credit for that too. If you want something versatile that goes beyond basic sandwiches, this is a great one to keep on hand.

works great for a single person who dosent have to entertain. i use this like bacon with a bit of liquid smoke and fry dry. no fat! works in mass recipes. i split it into 3 packs freeze 2. but it always has that one small cartalage spot that I cant tolerate so i just cut it out. no biggy! not the healthiest, but not the worst either. i quite like it. has a perfect texture. not like rubber or weirdly soft. its jusssst right!!

This is a great tasting ham that one of the major sandwich shops use on their footlong sandwiches, and I buy all the time and love the taste. It has some kind of extra smoky flavor that is wonderful, if you like smoked ham. It came deli cut in pretty thin slices, about 1/4 inch thick or maybe 3/8 or 1/5. I haven't taken out my ruler to measure it. It is about the standard slice size that you get with a pack of bologna, maybe a tiny bit thicker. The slices are about 8 inches long and maybe 5 inches wide. Give or take an inch or so. I haven't taken out my ruler to measure it yet, but it is pretty much those measurements. I make sandwiches with these and sometimes just eat the ham by itself for an entire meal. I can get totally filled up with 3 or 4 of these slices and last me for another 4 or 5 hours before getting hungry again. And, the taste is addictive. So, I wind up eating more than I really need because of the good taste. Anyway, this is a good product and I would buy it again. I already have.

The Great Value Sliced Lunch Meat is just as good as the name brands, In my opinion, and a lot cheaper. I have been buying these for years and will continue to buy them. I Love to make sandwiches with this and love the taste a quality, and the price is Great as well

IT IS AN AMALGAMATION OF THE MEAT OF SEVERAL PIGS, EMULSIFIED, LIQUIFIED, STRAINED, AND ULTIMATELY INEXORABLY JOINED IN AN UNHOLY MEAT OBELISK. NO GOD HAD ANY PART IN THE CREATION OF THIS ABOMINATION. THE VERY FACT THIS HAM MONOLITH EXISTS PROVES THAT THE GODS ARE EITHER TOO INEPT TO ALTER THEIR OWN UNIVERSE OR ARE TOO IGNORANT TO THE HORRORS TAKING PLACE IN THEIR KINGDOMS. THIS PRISM OF PORK IS MUCH MORE THAN DELI MEAT. IT IS A PHYSICAL DECLARATION OF MANKIND'S CONTEMPT FOR THE NATURAL ORDER. IT IS HUBRIS MANIFEST. 5/5 will buy and eat again. Slice weight consistent within 2%. Great for burritos.

I always buy this ham in either 16 oz or 32 oz packages. It tastes great! And it's not as dry as some other brands of Black Forest hams. It's also the least expensive! I can't believe I accidentally forgot about the open package of this ham in the bottom of my fridge and realized I had bought it almost 2 weeks beforehand. I was completely shocked that it still tasted pretty good! I don't think deli meat is supposed to be good after like 10 or 12 days right? But it was great! I even had a friend try it. Lol. Highly recommend

Walmart you're supposed to be family friendly and customer friendly but how you gonna be that when you went up over a dollar on this package? You know you're so wrong to do that with senior citizens, single parents and many not being able to afford food

Value for your money mostly. (too bad overall growing prices.) Great taste my picky eater will have a few bites once in a blue moon so not to his texture liking. Personally, its an ok texture does turn a bit wet/slimy as you get to the end of the bag before seeming completely dry.

The quality has declined significantly. It used to be comparable to name-brand products, but lately it seems that every other slice contains chewy, inedible connective tissue or silver skin that wasn't properly removed during butchering and was missed during the processing of the formed ham. This is very disappointing, and I hope to see the quality return to the standard it once had.

Found a slice in the top of the package. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, although this is the first time I have used Walmart delivery services. I have found lunch meat packages with slices or holes in them at the store when shopping, so I would find an employee or set it aside, but the delivery service has employees that gather the items. And this is why I was hesitant to sign up for Walmart . Most employees don't look over the packaging of the items, they just pickup the first one whether it's damaged or not. This is why I give this a one star.
