I don’t drive anymore so I have to rely on someone to take me grocery shopping. Your app made it so easy and you had everything I wanted at the right price so I will use your service again. Thee large broccoli phackages are so convenient because I eat a lot of broccoli.
Just what I asked for, individual broccoli florets- no stems, leaves, or large hunks of broccoli. The florets themselves were not frozen or browned- looked and tasted freshly frozen. I used in a variety of ways, from roasting with chicken pieces to casseroles and never disappointed
These are just as tasty as giant bag of the birdeye bags. Eaten as a side dish or for Casseroles. Cant beat the price on two bags of these. Under $3.00 per bag. Need to put a zip lock on the bags. I store what I dont use in a freezer bag for later meal uses.
I bought this to make broccoli and cheese soup because the bag I got from Aldi wasn’t quite enough. The Aldi brand is fine. I’ve used it dozens of times over the years, and pretty happy with it. That is, until I opened the one from Walmart. These broccoli florets are huge. They are a beautiful dark green, and no stems at all! I won’t buy any other brand now. Try them out!
Great Value frozen broccoli florets 32 oz bag is a good value. These bags are affordable and more convenient than fresh broccoli in my area, There are quite a few stems. I find that the stems are cruncher and just as tasty as the florets. For me, Great Value frozen broccoli florets an excellent bang-for-my-buck while I avoid the waste and prep time of fresh broccoli. I use these bags for casseroles, pasta bakes and steaming.
The broccoli florets are fantastic quality at a great price. I like how there is variation in the sizes of the florets because sometimes I do want small ones for omelets, and sometimes larger ones for dinner. The best-by days are several years into the future usually, but I noticed they can tend to get freezer burn after 6-8 months, well before the best by dates. Overall a fantastic kitchen staple item.
These broccoli florets are terrible. Mostly stalks and the stalks are so hard that when they are cooked enough to eat the tiny florets attached to them are either burned or mushy, however the stalks at this point are too chewy and there is no flavor in these broccoli like there used to be.
...but not in the bag. I attached a photo of all of the large stems in the bag. I weighed those pieces, and it came to 14.4 oz. That is nearly half the bag. I gave it a star for being broccoli.
While the brocoli quality is good, the quantity of water the brocoli is frozen in makes this product expensive. One-third of the 32oz bag ended up being from water weight. Yes, I weighed it before cooking, and I weighed the amount of post cooking water.
I usually don't like writing reviews but this product was disappointing. A lot of them were yellow -meaning they were old and still got processed and packaged. I sorted them and made a soup. The soup tasted off and later I got sick. I won't be buying these again. I bought them because they were "affordable" but in the end not worth the price.
