It wouldn’t be a holiday without these rolls. It brings back happy childhood memories of sitting around eating and laughing with elders that are now mostly gone. I try to have these every holiday to continue the tradition with my kids. Thanks Walmart for keeping these rolls. I know I can always count on you.
Great Value Brown and Serve White Dinner Rolls, 12 oz, 12 Count. I ordered to packages of these. I ordered early and kept refrigerated for Thanksgiving meal. I found if I wait too close to that day Walmart sells out of them. So Thanks for keeping them stocked at my store ! :) These are great as a roll or you can make sliders of any kind with these. Family loves them.
Ok , the only way to bake these is on 375 for about 7 minutes, and brush them with melted butter or margarine before baking. Any other method and they come out flat, hard, and crispy and very disappointing .
When this is in stock, it is generally a good cheap option for dinner rolls. The downsides are that it tends to be average at best across the board for taste and texture. About the same as generic white bread, but roll shaped. Some issues I do have. The product has gotten noticeably smaller over the years. Each roll is probably half the size it used to be. Another problem is, I don't know why, but they always arrive slightly damp inside the bag. Always. I've had a package mold up just three days after buying them for Thanksgiving. So keep this in mind when getting them. You might have to put them in fridge or freezer.
I always buy these for Thanksgiving and Christmas but usually a different brand. As no other brand than these available this year I thought I’d try these. Big mistake! The outside got crisp but when you put butter on them the inside becomes mush! So you end up with a crisp mushy roll that tastes bad. Don’t recommend.
i LIKE THE ITEM, BUT WALMART ALWAYS SMASHES THE ROLLS. When I receive the item its always smashed. It's like they ALWAYS put something heavy on them. Drives me crazy.
I’ve always been a fan of these great value dinner rolls. The packaging change of removing the white tray for sure effects the appearance and quality of this product. Going cheaper is not always better. Revert back to the original packaging and I’ll try again.
The main problem that I have with these rolls is the packaging. The rolls are always mush. Becasue they have nothing to hold but the rolls themselves they always seem mush together. They only time I biy these if Kroger brown n serve rolls are out of stock.
Years ago there were brown and serve rolls, always good but not gotten at Walmart. These are tiny, gummy and because they don’t come in a little paper tray, they were squished in our delivery order. Looks like they were sat on. Tried baking one and they just are not worth the bother.
they no longer put the protective paperboard in the package...just raw doughy rolls with no protection in a plastic bag. Mine were squished when I picked up my order and the associate put that bag on the bottom. These are going to look horrible at Christmas dinner. Thanks a lot Wal-dorks.
