I love butter pecan ice cream and the Great Value ice cream is less expensive than other ice creams, especially name brands, so this is the only brand that I buy. I think for the money, it's a good value and it tastes good. I'm not sure if it's as creamy as name brands but it's still good ice cream and it saves you money so I'm okay with it.
I love the smooth buttery taste….. was worried the first time I purchased it, (I love buttery tasting ice cream not just sweet)….Was unsure the first time I bought it, but when I tasted it, I was pleased….. it wasn't overly sweet, it was buttery and smooth, been buying it ever since. But there was one time I bought it and it was too sweet and lacked the flavor of the ( buttery) taste. After that I I was hesitant .… but I did buy it and so far I haven't been disappointed.
This has become one of my favorite budget ice creams. It's creamy, rich, and actually has a good amount of pecans instead of just a few tiny pieces. The buttery flavor is really good without being overly sweet, and it tastes great in a bowl or straight from the carton late at night. Definitely feels like a much more expensive ice cream than it is.
This ice cream is so good it's got a really nice flavor and taste. The ice cream doesn't get hard hard like other ice cream so that make it much easier to get out to enjoy. I really enjoyed the flavor it has that vanilla flavor mix with butter pecan and I am a sucker for butter pecan. I will definitely be getting more when the time comes. I also try to balance high sugar snacks so this isn't a daily snack for me but it's definitely up their on cheat day
Great taste for the value. Just as good as the name brand ice-cream. I will say that it's the right amount of sugar. I wouldn't eat it with anything else sweet. That would be overwhelming in my opinion. Plain cone are best, waffle and sugar cone were too sweet for me. It wasn't icy and scooping was easy.
Great Value Butter Pecan Ice Cream was a pleasant surprise and easily one of the better budget-friendly ice creams I've tried. The texture is smooth, creamy, and satisfying without tasting overly icy or watered down. The butter pecan flavor is rich and buttery with a nice balance of sweetness that isn't overpowering. The pecans add excellent texture and flavor, giving each bite a good mix of creamy ice cream and crunchy nut pieces. I also appreciated that the pecan flavor actually comes through instead of getting lost behind too much sugar. It tastes comforting, classic, and very close to more expensive name brands. This ice cream works great as a dessert on its own, but it's also excellent paired with pie, cobbler, or coffee. For the price, portion size, and flavor quality, it delivers outstanding value. If you enjoy traditional butter pecan ice cream, this is definitely worth keeping in the freezer. Highly recommended!
I like it. I've tasted some other brands of butter pecan, and yes they're good, but the Walmart brand is good, for a lower price. My only complaint is I wish the flavor was a little bit stronger, but then if they made it stronger I probably wouldn't like it.
I am blown away by how good the GV ice cream flavors are. The Butter Pecan is divinely smooth and creamy, with a subtle vanilla flavor, chock full of big pecans! Another to try is the Root Beer Vanilla Float, pure nostalgia! And the Chocolate Chunk is so richly chocolate with Big chunks, that it makes all other contenders bland and uninteresting.
What can I say. It this ice cream were a swimming pool, I would stick my head in it. OMG! I love this ice cream. It is creamy and full of pecans. The taste is out of this world. Sometimes I will eat the entire container in one setting. I feel go guilty, but so satisfied!
Does not taste like butter pecan. It taste like a vanilla and it's not as creamy as a vanilla or flavorful. It does have however a lot of nuts in it, but that is all I can give it credit for.
