Great Value Canned Leaf Spinach, 13.5 oz Can

I love having these on hand. It's not always easy to find fresh produce that is decent and these are a great way to add vegetables to our diet without worrying about waste. And I love that these are just spinach, water and salt. I like to season my own food and most of the other canned spinach brands add sugar which I do not want or need.

I love this spinach, it is easy to prepare, just heat and serve. The spinach has a good spinach taste but adding a bit of butter, salt and pepper makes it delicious. This is a good value for a low price. This spinach tastes the same to be as the name brand.

This spinach is as good as or better than many other brands. It is easy to prepare. Just heat and eat! For a delicious twist, try it hot with a drizzle of apple cider vinegar. Even the juice is good. These cans have a great shelf life, compared to fresh spinach.

Delicious and an absolute time saver not having to prepare and cook whole leaf spinach. Especially appreciate that this is WHOLE leaf spinach and not chopped it is NOT seasoned with meat, so its readily useable for cooking recipes. Perfect to serve as a side dish %26 for recipes that call for whole leaf spinach; Yummy when simply served with Apple Cider Vinegar.

I cannot tell it apart from Del Monte, which is considered the best canned spinach. I was surprised a store brand could be better than most, and equal to the industry leader. I did try rinsing and draining to sauté, and the surprising body of this spinach allowed a good outcome. I would cook it that way all the time, but am too lazy. Usually, I make my 'paleo bomb' of spinach, canned chicken, and dried minced onions with lots of pepper and herb seasoning. A shot of vinegar, and I am eating like minor gentry.

Great Value canned leaf spinach is surprisingly good. Just heat and eat as per instructions, or combine with other sides. We'll give this vege a great rating for price as well.

Great tasting spinach. I serve spinach as a side dish in my home. My family has always liked it and I find this brand comparable to the higher priced name brands.

Very tasty. Fav recipe is cream sauce called Bechamel of milk, flour, salt and butter. Liquid drained first, cream sauce added then poured over toast and topped with chopped hard boiled egg.

Most other canned vegetables come in 14.5 oz cans. Spinach is 13.5 oz. This tends to be a bit pricey %26 is loaded with salt. Low Salt; No Salt Added would be better. Compared to beans, peas, corn %26 carrots spinach may be a bit more time %26 effort intensive to bring to market in a canned variety. I am a repeat customer of this item. It can be a chore to find healthy products today. I WISH Walmart could provide a greens version, a mixed vegetable %26 a carrot version that is "No Salt Added". I am buying everything in that category they offer.

Too watery and upset my stomach. i had not tried this brand before. it seemed like more water then spinach and the spinach was broken down way too small. because i believe all that water broke down the spinach.
