Great Value Chili Seasoning Mix, 1.25 oz

My boyfriend is lying in the hospital. He is dying of advanced cancer. His one great request of me was that I buy these chili packets, kidney beans, and petite diced tomatoes so he could make this chili himself when he gets home. He won't be coming home, and it rips my heart, but I bought the items anyway. I'm sure the Good Lord has a kitchen up there where he will be able to cook and eat chili without repercussions to his 95 lb frame. I am reviewing this product for him. He loves it so much.

I've been using this for years. It's just the right seasoning for tacos and you can't beat the price and convenience. With a pound of hamburger, I had this seasoning as well as about half a cup of water (maybe a little more) and a can of dark red kidney beans. Easy and quick tacos!

Okay… I have a confession to make 😄 Patsy makes the chili in our house, and let me tell you, she is a GREAT cook. That pot never lasts long. But she has always been very particular about her seasoning mix, and I tend to lean more toward trying the generic versions when I can. So one day… I decided to test it. I quietly swapped in this Great Value chili seasoning, poured it into a little bowl “to help her prep,” and said absolutely nothing. And guess what? Not. A. Single. Person. Noticed. Not even Patsy. The chili tasted just as amazing as always. So now I've got a bit of a secret on my hands… do I keep sneaking it in, or do I finally confess? 😄 Either way, this mix gets the job done perfectly and saves a little money along the way.

I use 1lb ground chuck, 2 cans of Great Value diced tomatoes and green chilies, 1/2 can if water, 1 can Great Value Pinto beans (drained), and if course Great Value chili seasoning. Can't tell the difference between this chili seasoning and any other brand. Has good flavor, looks the same and you use it the same way. And the price is very good.

I normally get the mild chili mix but they didn't have that so I was happy with this choice. I didn't have to add any other spices and my chili came out perfect

taste great but is honestly very strong in flavor. the package says to add the whole thing but i recommend adding half first, then later add to taste. i package for me lasts for 2 batches

This is so good! I like to use th great value chili ready tomatoes and a can of mixed chili beans. It's different than the instructions on the packet but it's better and much heartier!
