Great Value's tuna in water is all I buy when I buy tuna. It's just as good as any name brand in taste for a salad, in sandwiches, and ingredients for anything else requiring tuna. I mean, even though I have to REALLY watch my spending, this tuna definitely gives me more bang for my buck.
Price drop, so I get several cans. Been using and drinking this for years. Was better price b4 covid. I drink this straight outta the can. Off and On. I have ulcers, so the cream helps me when I hurt. Especially when I dont have yogurt or Buttermilk available. I'm 74years young.
This tuna is much better than the name brands it is chunkier and you get more tuna in the can instead of the mush in the name brands. The cost is a great value, I've recomended this to several people who love tuna. My grandkids love this tuna. I had 1st bought it because of the value, now it's part of my regular shopping list. Some people shy away from off brand items they will be pleasantly surprised with this one.
it's the same as you going to get anything else unless you Stark is the fruit I think it's better than bumblebee bumblebee yeah I don't know about that I've only had that once a long time ago maybe they got better but this is definitely again it's canned tuna you get what you pay for and to me very good tasting
i really like this great value chunk light tuna in water ... I will switch between this and chicken of the sea chunk light tuna in water... I usually always buy the walmart brand there is no difference to me in taste texture my family loves it and i will keep buying it
Picked up Great Value tuna because that's the closest thing I'll ever get to fine dining. Can't afford steak, can't afford salmon — but I can afford to whisper ‘bon appétit' to myself while eating it straight out the can like a raccoon with a mortgage
I've been purchasing this tuna now for a few years. the price and taste are decent. i prefer this over name brand. My cats love it naturally. I use for tuna helpers and tuna sandwiches whichever. the taste and chunks of meat are decently proportional.
I use for simple tuna sandwiches, combining with Great Value mayonnaise and Great Value dill relish, and spreading between Great Value white bread slices! Yum. The outside cats get the juice as a treat too. Look forward to making a tuna casserole but sandwiches are easy and quick!
I regularly ordered the big name brand (SK) from Sam's but Great Value brand CHUNK TUNA beats this big brand HANDS DOWN! You actually get CHUNK tuna that tastes great compared to the big name brand tiny, almost minced, tuna garbage in water. Well worth making the change!
GV tuna has been a staple of mine for decades, primarily, because I make a great tuna salad. I say this because this is not great tuna, but in a salad mix, you won't notice. Price creep is an issue now, but I've made no change yet. There is a lot of water in the can that you are paying tuna rates for.
