Colby and Monterey Jack is a great tasting and versatile cheese. The added benefit is The Atkins program is mainly Meat, Cheese, and Eggs so a variety of flavors is beneficial. I also bought mozzarella and swiss. The value is incredible making it easy to mix flavors.
I’m an elderly person and I have been online shopping because it’s extremely difficult for me to get to the store without having to depend on my friends. It’s a relief to be able get what I need/want in an orderly manner. . Thus far I’ve been more than satisfied with the results of the online ordering and the delivery of my orders is in timely fashion.
The cheese was exactly as I would like it, smooth and flavorful at a reasonable cost. My only issue, and it's a small one, is the packaging. The zip-locking bag works well, but opening it is very difficult due to the very short areas to hold on to in order to break the seal. Coming out of the refrigerator, the plastic is slick and hard to open the product. Though it does stay well sealed. Sorry, no photo, it's gone already.
Believe it or not I have to buy the nabisco chicken and the biscuit crackers and the squeeze cheese every month for me and the kids, but the kids renamed the chicken and the biscuit crackers to “bock- bock” crackers because the box has a chicken on it. Ha! Ha! Ha! Leave it to a three year old —— right!!! Sincerely, Constance D. Holmes
The Great Value Colby Jack Cheese is a staple in my home. I am a big sandwich eater and this cheese is a perfect ingredient. The slices have a medium sized thickness but still melt easily and consistently. There is no waxy feeling or taste. I would skip the higher priced products and purchase this delicious cheese.
The slices are usually uniform and don't stick together very often. But the last couple of packages have been thick on one half and thin on the other. Plus the thin sida has been softer and extremely hard to get apart. We use them mostly for sandwiches and that makes them difficult to use.
I like that the slices are all the same thickness, but still thin enough to melt down in sandwiches; using bread %26 tortillas heated straight from the toaster. I like the great Colby Jack taste. I like the resealable zipper packaging it comes in. Probably a decent source of calcium. Never used it in any salads, but it would be easy to do so. My reason for only ⭐⭐⭐⭐ %26 my one %26 only complaint: They really need to use those thin, square strips of wax paper between each individual slice, (or even every other slice); to seperate the slices out though, because they stick together something fierce, %26 make the slices pull apart into a bunch of different smaller pieces. It's literally been impossible for me to even just pull off one whole slice, in one solid piece, without it tearing into several smaller pieces.
Flavor %26 taste were fine. Slices did stick together %26 were hard to separate. This would be unacceptable if trying to make a cheese platter but ok for cooking or eating if you don't mind how the slices look after they tear from trying to separate them.
The cheese was overall good, but, it fell apart as I was trying to separate it. It needs to have the little prophylactics between the slices. That little piece of wax paper protection when you separate the slices
This cheese isnt our favorite. We stopped buying it. Main reason is that the slices stick together. Ever since companies cut corners %26 took that slice of wax paper out, that kept the cheese from sticking. We are unhappy with it. Plus, the flavor isn't the best.
