Great Value Colby & Monterey Jack Block Cheese, 16 oz Chunk

When I find a Great Value brand for items I nirmally use, I'm going to buy it. almost without exception, I love Great Value products, and this cheeseis a good example of great taste for less $$$. I buy whatever kind of Great Value cheese I need for my recipes, and I am never fisappointed. i recommend this product

Listen up y'all : there ain't no better cheese in the world than Colby-Jack cheese! It goes nicely with whatever you got Goin in your kitchen, it melts great and is nice and creamy. Goes good on hot or cold sandwiches, soups, chili or anything else needing cheese. It's a great nutritional snack for the kiddos and I am finding I love it for a snack too. One hundred percent recommended by me. Great Value is just fine for a brand, can't see anything wrong that says Great Value deserves to be called a cheap store brand! It ain't cheap, it just costs less. Y'all don't know the difference between cheap and less expensive? Well you just go right on ahead and spend as much money as you can! Personally I prefer to be able to buy the healthful foods that I want for my family and Walmart helps me to do just that!

Just make sure that you look at expiration date because that makes a difference in the quality and taste. I ended up with a bad package when I ordered supplies to be delivered.

I love this cheese because it's very good for my macaroni and cheese and I always buy it Colby Jack and Monte cheese and I'll continue to use it so yes and I'll probably mix it in with some other cheeses if I want to as well but I always buy this cheese. I recommend it. I recommend it.

These cheese is firmer than some of their block cheese. Don't expect the flavor or texture of companies who make good cheese. It's not going to happen. The GV brand is about cutting cost not bringing quality. Sorry but that's what I have experienced.

ordered 32 oz block . Received 2 of these in its place. As a family who eats a lot of cheese, the larger block is easier to deal with . grating and slicing for crackers for 8, larger grip easier handing. but these are acceptable for substantial price on the delivery service program.

We grate this to melt with tacos, nachos, burritos, etc. The taste is cheddar-forward; you don't get a lot of jack flavor. It is also overly salty and the texture is off. It crumbles and breaks off when you grate it, and it doesn't have that creamy texture you want from a cheese. There are definitely better colby-jack options out there. It's a good price, but you sacrifice flavor and texture here.

The cheese look like somebody had tried combining a bunch of different cheeses. Together it looked real crumbled. It was nearly impossible to cut because of the crumble it just kept following apart. It tasted awful. I ended up, just tossing it because I was unable to eat it because of the texture and the taste to it was just it tasted expired, almost for lack of better way to describe the flavor.

I buy this cheese all the time. The last two times I have bought this it tastes like rubber. I am going to switch to a different brand. I can't afford to waste money on this. I eat this every evening with popcorn and I can't choke this cheese down, the dogs will be happy. I tried different pieces thinking maybe it was just the end piece but no.
