YES !!!! Great Value Cream Cheese is perfectly blended for a rich, smoothy creamy texture. You can eat this on a cracker for a quick snack, mix it with nuts and chocolate chips for a pick-me-up on a bagel. The soft texture makes it easy to spread on your favorite morning toast or muffin. The description is accurate. Serving size is one ounce, approximately two tablespoons. It is a low calorie snack at only 90 calories per serving. It is easy to open and close in it's stay fresh wrapper. It enhances everything from cheese cake to dips. It adds a special smoothness to sauces and frostings. I will mix some into the batter when I bake orange cranberry muffins. I add it to my fruit preserves and put it on top of bagels and muffins. Cut an apple in half, core it, scoop a little more of the apple out, then fill it with cream cheese and Great Value Berries and Golden Raisins. Grab a celery stick, fill it with cream cheese and top it with Great Value Berries and Golden Cherries. Turn your creative side loose and let your imagination run wild with how many ways you can add this delicious cream cheese to your diet.
highly convenient product - perfect size X weight x price ratio, the flavour is absolutely par non is is quite dense, i use it as my calcium source now as milk has begun thinning their product AND increasing their prices, the taste is equivalanet to the texture, highly dense and rich cheese with light entensity, tends to be great chilled and eaten asa block by itself or rolled tighlty with promosquitto(italian dried meats) all in all great product, i usually purchase 6-8 every month that i can afford it
I ordered this cream cheese a few days ago so I could try a new to me recipe. Mashed potatoes with cream cheese and whipping cream. And some butter. Wow. What an amazing mashed potatoes it made. Glad I tried it. I used 2 potatoes 1/4 c cream cheese 1/8 cup ish whipping cream 1/4 c butter and blended. Add liquid if needed for a desired consistency.
Cream cheese seems pretty simple and GV brand tastes just like Philly to me. This is easy to spread and taste great on bagels. Ensure you store unused cheese in an air free container or it will mold like any other cream cheese. Plastic wrap over covered glass or plastic containers will ensure freshness and slow molding effects.
Just as good or better than the more expensive brand. I use it for a lot of things. Puff pastry, pies, cobblers and various other items. I never went back to the more expensive once I tried this. It is very creamy, easy to cut into pieces and has a great flavor.
The Great Value brand is just what it says it is, A Great Value for your money. Yes, the taste is very slightly different and so is the texture. If you're using it as an ingredient, you'll never notice and if it's being used on veggies or in a dip, simply whip it a little bit. The price difference is well worth the little bit of extra trouble.
I used this cream cheese for my crab spread and my cherry delight. Both times I let it sit out on the counter to reach room temperature for ease of use. It has excellent flavor and is a great fit for the recipes that I've prepared. I highly recommend this cream cheese.
This generic version of cream cheese is great for using in recipes for dressings, casseroles or baked goods. It has a light taste and is a reasonable price. I think it is as good as the name brand, but a much better price. However, I have noticed that the kids don't like it as much spread on a bagel or toast as they do the name brand. Overall, I think this is great and definitely a good value.
I ordered Philly cream cheese, but it was out of stock. I received this as a substitution for an online order. Normally for something like cream cheese I wouldn't buy the store brand. I prefer Philly to other "name brands" for baking and other recipes. I bought it to use on frozen bagels - so gave it a shot. Overall, it was pretty good. I'd use for a simple dip but not my favorite Christmas cookies.
I’ve tried several times to use this store brand cream cheese, to save on cost. Hands down it’s the WORST cream cheese ever!! It has ruined several desserts because it’s grainy, I’ve tried adding it at room temp as well as refrigerated. It still has a grainy texture! I do not recommend it!
