If you love pot pies like my family does but don't have the time or patience to make it from scratch, this Great Value Cream of Celery Condensed Soup and a can of Great Value Cream of Chicken Condensed Soup are life savers. Grab a non stick treated casserole dish and line it with half a can of great value canned biscuits, separating each one in half top from bottom. Bake them and remove from the oven, allowing them to cool some. In a separate large bowl mix in some precooked chicken breasts cut up to bite size, a bag of great value frozen mixed veggies and a can each of cream of celery and cream of chicken soup and mix well. Then pour the mixture over the precooked biscuit halves. Then top the whole thing with the remaining biscuit halves. Bake for about 30-35 min at 350/ It makes a yummy chicken pot pie with a creamy texture. This whole meal takes about 45 minutes to make from start to finish. It is great for lunch or dinner. My boys love to eat any remaining filling with fries.
i use this very neutral flavored soup as a base for other cream soups, sauces and casseroles easy to use, shelf stable, inexpensive, easier to use as a thickener than making a roux, particularly if lumps are an issue for you .
Just like the cream of Mushroom and the cream of chicken. The cream of celery is spot on. Great texture. Great, consistency. Great flavor great price. Good god, it's great value.I should have known.
Cream Of anything by great value is gold in a can !! I mean what I say , gold in a can !! I use these in my Dressings , on my chicken when I am Backing when I wanna make a creamy sauce and also other things !! You can't go wrong with ; Cream of mushroom Cream of chicken Cream of celery All are good buys !!! And all are affordable!! I keep them in my pantry !!
I greatly appreciate this pantry staple and use it regularly as a healthy base for soups and sauces. Depending on the total wanted volume of what I'm making, I will use a 2nd can for a greater depth of flavor, of which the price can easily be justified. One of the initial reasons for giving this product a try, aside from the price, is that it doesn't contain MSG, of which I have sensitivity to.
I make several holiday dishes that require cream of celery soup. The Great Value brand is considerably cheaper than the name brands and the product tastes exactly the same. The savings of 25-30 cents on each can adds up, especially to those of us who try to save money on the food budget. I purchase Great Value soups whenever possible because they are consistently cheaper in cost, without losing any taste or flavor.
It's a canned soup, and many, if not most, canned soups rarely warrant five stars. I enriched mine with oat milk and added celery flakes and mini croutons. A spritz of extra-virgin olive oil wouldn't hurt, but I forgot to add that to the soup. The soup was creamy, silky, and smooth with notes of celery. Not bad for a canned soup!
The product is fine, but the delivery wasn't. I had it delivered to my work because it's only 5 minutes from the store and I live much farther out. My coworker said the delivery person was pretty rude.
Pretty darn good for a generic brand. And I'm fussy. Add S%26P and fill the can with milk. Pour into a frying pan. Add grilled chicken cutlets. Walah, you have a great meal. Try adding some carrots too, for some extra color and taste.
I thought I would try to save a little bit of money by buying the great value as opposed to Campbell's. Boy was that a bad idea. It was terrible. I could even tell before I even baked it that something was amiss. The consistency was nothing like it should have been. I ended up throwing out the entire meal. It tasted dreadful. I will not be buying great value canned goods in the future.
