Unless I find out otherwise, I think this is leaning towards healthy eating. I use it in gumbo and stews. The fried version tastes great for a snack, but grease is not a friend to us. I keep a few frozen bags available for quick chef hat dishes. A little cooking beats a lot of heat and time on the fire. Thaw and add last to gumbo type meals.

I recently tried Great Value Cut Okra, Frozen (12 oz) and was very impressed with the quality. The okra is fresh-tasting, perfectly cut, and easy to cook straight from the freezer. It retains its texture well and doesn't get overly mushy, which makes it ideal for frying, stews, or gumbo. The convenience of having pre-cut frozen okra saves time without compromising on taste or freshness. It's a great pantry staple for quick meals and adds a nice touch of vegetable goodness to any dish. I would definitely buy this again!

This bag of okra had a lot of inedible parts in it. This was just my serving. The other one went straight into the trash. At least half the bag was inedible. Last time for buying Walmart great value okra.

Okra was extremely woody and fibrous, like it harvested part it's prime, inedible. Unfortunately adding it to my seafood gumbo was a huge mistake it totally ruined it

I absolutely LOVE okra! It is one of my favorite vegetables. I was so excited to make chicken vegetable soup with this okra from a brand that I trusted. I worked VERY hard on this soup and even made bone broth and everything. I couldn't decide whether to put a cup or two or the whole bag of okra and finally decided on the whole bag. Image after all that work, finally trying that first bite and having to spit it out because you just couldn't chew up all those splinters, and thinking to yourself, "Okay, this happens sometimes." Then the next bite, same thing, tough, woody, %26 inedible. You have to spit it out again. Half way through your bowl you find yourself testing each bite before you decide to commit. Would you believe a conservative 9 of out 10 bites in one bowl of soup was tough? Unbelievable!!!! I used to buy this Great Value brand of okra, even just last year, and sure it had a few pieces of woody okra in it. It was fine since they were the cheapest guys on the block. But every single piece is a rip off! I would actually save money paying more for quality. Not sure who to try next, but I definitely won't be wasting my money on this one again. I would never write a review to "bash" anyone. I only took the precious time out of my day to hopefully save someone else a lot of TIME and MONEY on a ruined pot of otherwise great soup or meal.
