Cold weather is chili weather.
Well, here I am stuck in the house by the great ice storm of 2026. It is just the sort of weather that begs for a bowl of chili. In my cabinet I found a recently purchased container of Great Value Dark Chili Powder. My jar was only the 5.8 oz size, but that was plenty for my chili. I am not new to this chili powder. It is what I use. I sort of like the redder color of regular chili powder, but I LOVE the rich flavor of the dark powder. It is just deeper and more complex. And this Great Value brand is rich and dark and flavorful. My favorite use for this powder is cooking it up in an actual pot of chili and serving it with a little cheese and a few chips. But it goes great in other things as well, and comes with a lid that accommodates pouring, spooning or shaking, depending on what you need. It is just an excellent powder at a better than excellent price.

Great chili flavor, just right. Put a tablespoon in a 2 quart crockpot along with diced tomatoes, red onions, jalapeno peppers, corn and pinto beans and you have a perfect vegetarian chili!

Definitely recommend over regular chili powder as its alot more flavorful and mixes in alot better. you know how in chili u can taste the powder cause it didnt get missed it that problems outta the question
