This is my opinion,KRAFT,SARGHENTOS,all the other cheeses out there, like I said this is my opinion, and you know what they say about OPINIONS CORRECT? Off I go to review a couple more items that I bought,Or lack of something better to do, I'm retired.ALONE and reviewing items I had bought before and why I chose those particular items
This was my first time to try the Great Value real American cheese. It is very good and compares well to Deli Deluxe; the flavor is slightly different but they are both good. I might even like it better. We had burgers on the grill and this cheese melted wonderfully on them. I made a grilled cheese sandwich and it was excellent. I won't feed my family the cheap, fake "cheese product" or "cheese food" slices so price does make a difference. I tried this one because it was a couple of dollars cheaper, and I am so glad I did. This just may become my go-to brand!
ChatGpt gave me the BEST recipe for TexMex Chile con Queso using this cheese, White American singles, and sharp cheddar. Wow! Yummy. This melted like a dream and everything tasted divine. Definitely better than restaurant quality. If I had to nitpick, I'd say I did not like that the slices are not individually wrapped or separated, but they do come apart easily enough.
For years, I always purchased craft deli, deluxe cheese, when money became tight. I saw the great value cheese, so I decided to give it a try, I was very impressed, it tasted the same, it looked the same, I did not have a problem whatsoever with this cheese, now great value is the only cheese I purchase, it definitely gets five out of five stars, and if you have not tried this cheese, trust me, when I say, you cannot tell the difference from the name brand.
This cheese is the best ever for making a grilled cheese sandwich. It melts perfectly %26 smoothly. Even my son who doesn't like American cheese, says he didn't realize how great it tastes on a simple grilled cheese sandwich. This is from a grown man that has always loved a variety of cheese flavors just like his mom!
Sooooo, the cheese is fine... IF you can get them to peel apart. The packaging is vacuum sealed so tightly (usually a good thing) that we struggle to get them apart in slices - they come off in fragments. Ugh. We usually buy at Costco and their cheese is slightly staggered, so it's easier to differentiate the slices. In a pinch, we buy these, but they're a nuisance.
almost very similar taste as Kraft. these are a tiny bit thinner and slightly softer texture, which makes taking one slice out at a time difficult. these are not individually wrapped, just like the Kraft brand. all in all, i woukd buy this brand when im hosting a large gathering/bbq, cookout because if the price and similar taste. But for my personal (2 person household) use I would spend extra for Kraft brand or Harris Teeter brand.
This cheese has a pleasant taste but I wish I had paid attention and noticed that they were not individually wrapped slices before purchasing. The package did not have the capability of being resealed once opened which meant that I had to find a separate container to keep the cheese in as it will otherwise be exposed cheese once you open the package.
I was really disappointed with these cheese slices. They're supposed to be the "deluxe" or premium version, but they have almost no flavor. They just added calories to my sandwich without contributing any real taste. I've had much better options—Tillamook, Kraft Deluxe, and Velveeta all have a richer, creamier flavor and are worth the extra money. I won't be buying these again.
Disappointed in these. Better off buying the much cheaper GreatValue individually wrapped slices. They certainly seem like the same thing only these are not wrapped. Very thin %26 no taste to speak of. The name brand thick slices are so much better in every way.
