If you can afford this one time a month, and get one of the Mainstays 9x13 food storage containers to store it, you'll be money ahead. my husband and I like grilled cheese. We have grilled cheese and homemade soup a few times a month in the winter and when it's hot in the summer sometimes just grilled cheese and a salad. This 5 lb block will last us a month or month and a half. And if you buy the 1 lb. pks, they're over $5 each. Still cheaper than Kraft Deluxe slices and much cheaper. And a heck of a lot better than the individually wrapped singles!!

American cheese is a staple. Sandwiches keep some of us going. Food snobs say American Cheese isn't even Cheese? But ask them if they want Cheese on that? What do they say? How often do people say no to Grilled Cheese? It would only be better if it were Sharp American.

has really good flavor. kinda thick slices and sometimes not all same size, but buying this bigger size saves $, so if you're not going to use right away, definitely wrap good with some plastic wrap n put in a sealed container to maintain the cheesy flavors

Very important to note use containerss to split up the large amount.i sug3st usin gl9ves and a8rtight conatainers like hefty.Never use foil! Small plastic zipper bags work also for the extras. Just like all cheese moisture is not your friend and the more you touch it the better your chance of molding it %26 foil just eats through cheese%26meats eventually. ifykyk Tase like the deli but better than the name brands!

The covid pandemic has long ago passed so it's time to get back to the EDLP Walmart once claimed, as their logo for their customers. Thank you for your compassion and concern for us seniors. 🙏

This cheese is excellent. It taste great. It is single unwrapped so it has much better flavor. I buy this great big container and then I put it in a couple three smaller containers in my refrigerator and it stores very well. Much more economical price wise than the namebrand.

I split it up into sandwich bags for storage. You can freeze some of it if you like, it doesn't change the taste but the texture gets a little crumbly. We tend to use it fast enough that we don't freeze any of it. Works great on grilled cheese sandwiches. Melts very well.

I LIKE THIS KIND OF CHEESE ESPECIALLY WITH MY BLOGNA SANDWICH ,IF THE EGGS GET BACK TO NORMAL PRICES SO I CAN PURCHASE THEM AGAIN I LOVE THEM ON MY HARD FRIED EGG SANDWICHES WITH MELTED CHEESE WITH IT , THIS IS THE COUNTRY SONG THAT MAKES IT HAPPEN SO MUCH.

I really like the GV American cheese. I have one problem; I can't fined a container the wright size to pot the cheese in once it's opened. like a 4"x4"x12" inside dimensions would be great. Maybe mainstay could make one and sell it next to where the cheese is sold.

I have purchased the GV sliced cheese for years always found it to be a very creamy texture and great taste. I don't know what they have done to my cheese but something change with this order. DRASTICALLY. it's terrible doesn't even melt AT ALL I'm afraid to eat it I wish I could return it but I always break the large package down to store it so I'm stuck. Used to make the creamiest grilled cheese sandwiches, not any more. Really don't want to go back to buying Kraft but I have no choice. Do better Walmart
