I'm always so envious of others who are drinking iced coffee on a daily basis and decided I could do it myself! I found this cold brew concentrate and its absolutely phenomenal! Just need to add a little bit of water, ice, and coffee creamer and you have an instant morning treat. It's so inexpensive too, such an easy grab and go to wake up in the morning!
I was nervous to get this after reading some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised! It's not the highest quality but since it's half the price of other coffee concentrates I think it's worth it and will continue to get it- and it's definitely not bad!
I am starting to familiarize myself with the Great Value brand and have been buying products under this brand. It is as the name implies “great value.” I enjoy the taste of this cold brew concentrate coffee, giving me a choice in how dark I would like my iced coffee. I like the taste of this coffee as I lean towards a darker brew. I have purchased this several times, and will be doing so in the future.
This cold brew concentrate tastes just like Dunkin' iced coffee, and it has saved me a ton of money making drinks at home. The flavor is smooth, not bitter, and works perfectly for iced coffee, lattes, or flavored drinks. I love how easy it is to mix—just pour, add cream or flavor if you want, and you're done. One bottle lasts a long time, so it's a huge value compared to buying coffee out every day. If you love iced coffee and want that coffee-shop taste at home without the daily cost, this is absolutely worth buying.
I'm VERY honest when it comes to rating n reviews cuz I thoroughly go thru them myself b4 spending my money. I learned to filter to verified purchases n MOST RECENT as over time products can change and I ONLY wanna know what people who PAID for the products think. I also can tell when someone's biased, bitter, etc by what they say so I rely heavily on what I believe to be honest thoughts b4 spending MY money and I try to share the same. My opinions never seem to be very popular but they ARE mine and HONEST. I'll start by saying this is the 2nd summer I started making my own iced coffee at home cuz buying out every day was getting too expensive plus I can use my EBT by making it home. I was more a Dunkins then Starbucks girl. When out, it happened to be the flavor I preferred but I would also buy McDonald's iced coffees so I'm not EXTRA picky. Dunkins was my preference then just what I could afford. I PREFER hazelnut and lots of sugar for my iced coffee n regular NO FLAVOR for my hot. I like CREAM AND SUGAR. I like to taste COFFEE tho which is why I'm not big on all the flavors and extras. That's for dessert, to me. Since trying to make mine at home the most cost effective way I learned COLD BREW CONCENTRATE is best. I add the bottle into a pitcher w 1 and a half of the bottle of water even tho it's supposed to be a 1 to 1 ratio. That makes it go a further and lessens the bitterness. I don't put my cream and sugar in the pitcher. I started with Dunkin Donuts cold brew n was happy w it. I like the taste. Starbucks ppl think it's too bitter but I liked it. Starbucks was too WEAK for me. I switched to that from the Dunkins cuz what's in the BOTTOMS OF THEIR BOTTLES. so disgusting. U can see all the caked up residue stuck at the bottom and it's all flecks and pieces that get IN THE BOTTOM of the pitcher so ur last cups are gross even tho they ALL were but didn't realize til getting to the bottom of the pitcher and seeing all the floaties. I couldn't get it anymore cuz it was EVERY time I bought it. Switched to Starbucks. UNFLAVORED. Theirs is much weaker but it worked for me at the recommended ratio. Still kinda pricey tho so I started looking for cheaper and discovered this and I had to test it cuz MOST Great value stuff is exactly that and It works. It's okay. A bit bitter but it is edible and Id have DEFINITELY switched to this as my new regular but IT HAS THAT RESIDUE on the bottoms of the bottle TOO and that's just gross. I don't mind the taste.. For ME, it's really not that difficult AT ALL from any other cold brew concentrates. Too bad cuz that would have been A GREAT VALUE. maybe the one I got is just really old. I'll try ONE more time but if the bottom is the same then it's a no for me. OTHER than that, it's perfectly fine and a great savings
Idk how to explain it. It tastes like it's soured and gone bad. But it's not expired. If you add enough cream and sugar and flavor coffee syrup you don't taste it but by that point it's barely coffee anymore. I wish there was a great value brand of iced coffee in the carton like Aldi's has 😔
I saw numerous reviews that this product is sour but for the price I thought I'd try it. It definitely is sour. I used nearly the whole bottle just trying to adjust the taste by using less and adding syrups, sugars, sweeteners and creamers. It's still just sour. I would recommend buying a better brand rather than cutting cost by half for this brand.
I do not normally do reviews on food or many reviews at all, but I have to say that this is got to be the most disgusting iced coffee I've ever had. It has a weird taste in a even weirder tasting aftertaste. It tastes nothing like cold brew it tastes like it is got some sort of chemical in it. I would stay clear.
I had great hopes that this would taste smooth and delicious and it is not good at all. I mixed it up according to directions and it was horrible. I added a little bit more thinking that would help and that just compounded the problem. Save your money do not buy this.
I agree with many other reviewers...this is some sour, nasty crap. How do you make coffee sour? I even tried diluting it more and adding more creamer but it still left a nasty after taste. I'll spend more for the other brands. It really isn't a "great value" when you end up pouring it down the sink because you can't drink it.
