Great Value Extra Sharp Cheddar 16 Oz. Block Cheese is my favorite "keep-on-hand" Cheese. Shreaded %26 sprinkled on salads. Other GV Cheeses also are delicious for sandwiches %26 Burritos. I purchase Gouda, Havarti, Pepper Jack, Swiss, Cheese Sticks %26 some Soft Cheeses, all Great Value brand. More economical than big namewith same great taste.

I recently tried the extra sharp cheddar cheese. I fell in love with the first bite .It pairs with everything you eat with cheddar . Now I know what had been missing all these years. Lol imagine if life came with a menu. Yummy. I just now remembered I have elbow macaroni in the pantry . I'm going to try that extra sharp cheddar cheese on everything starting tomorrow.

This cheese is a great value and taste. It's so easy to use too. After I open the bag and use some I just close the bag and put it back in my cheese drawer. It lasts quite awhile because the bag is so big. I love it. Especially how good it tastes. I use it on everything.

You really can't go wrong with the Great Value cheese. The blocks of cheese (no matter the flavor) are very reasonably priced and hardly ever disappoint. I especially like the tang of the sharp cheddar. I usually add it to chicken wraps. One of my daughter's favorite dishes is pizza bagels, so I mix the sharp cheddar with the mozzarella on some Great Value bagels with some pizza sauce, and it's perfect.

As good as the more expensive cheddar blocks. A staple for the holidays during all the food festivities! The big block is versatile, from recipes to veggie trays, etc. This is my favorite cheese for all these ways. Mellow, creamy texture and perfect flavor you'd expect from a good cheese! Try this one for your favorite mac%26cheese for Thanksgiving.

Sometimes I purchase this Extra Sharp Cheddar and it's perfect. Other times it seems like the cheddar taste is much less. I continue to purchase this item because it's reasonably priced compared to other brands of Extra Sharp Cheddar. I only wish is that you would get it right every time because to purchase anything and the taste you are looking for is missing is a bummer, but 9 times out of 10 you seem to get the Extra Sharp taste right which is worth it for me expesially for the price.

as I indicate the flavor is fine the quality is meddling and it's a little crumbly almost as if it might have been partially frozen at what point? I don't know I'm happy for what I use it for in cooking it would need to be of a little higher quality just for tea snacks!

OK, so I have been buying this cheese for years and in the last year something has changed. The taste is off, the texture is wrong and I use this to make maccaroni and cheese, but it no longer melts. I kid you not it just clumps and becomes graduated. this has been every batch I have made in the last year. idk what changed but I'm going to have to switch to a more expensive brand.

I have normally been very satisfied with Great Value products. I was very disappointed with this cheese. I purchased to make a specific dish that company visiting for holidays really like. Unaware they also bought the ingredients. I checked dates on the different cheeses and used the ones that expired early. This and the pepper jack block went into the fridge. they both had expiration date in late March 2026. i finally was ready to make the dish again for a pot luck. the pepper jack was fine the sharp cheddar was completely moldy. not just a tiny amount. you cut cut away the entire block. everything else in fridge was perfectly fine. so i know it was the cheese. I doubt I will buy sharp cheddar blocks from great value again.

I bought this on July 8th, %26 had not intended to open it until needed. Today, I got it out of the fridge drawer, %26 it was covered in MOLD. It has a December 2025 expiration date. That was a BIG problem with the sliced version of this extra sharp cheddar. I will be attempting a refund from this online pickup order.
