Most people say that fat free cheese is gross and it doesn't melt well and they're wrong. I've been on a healthier choice as lifestyle journey for over a year now and I use the fat free cheddar from Walmart and I absolutely love it compared to not being able to have cheese at all because of the fat content.... I've only used this mozzarella a couple of times but so far it tastes no different than the regular one... Obviously you can't taste the fat in it so it does taste a little bit different but I ate it in a quesidilla and on top of a burger.... I can't really tell the difference and I get to enjoy cheese most people might taste a difference but I change my lifestyle so therefore my taste buds have gone along with it.... Just like I don't put butter on my tortilla when I go to cooking it I eat it dry.... Where one person might absolutely love that like I do and another person will tell you that's disgusting and they can't eat it so obviously it's up to you whether or not this cheese is something you would like or not for me personally I ordered 10 of them and I order 10 cheddar every time I go there as well that are both fat free I just can't get them from the same-store because one store has 1 Kind and the other store has the other kind so I have to work with Walmart to have them get it at the same-store so that I don't have To run around both stores
This is the only game in town if you want affordable fat free cheese. Here is all I have been eating for a week: 1 L'Oven Fresh Carb Control tortilla from Aldi. You want this because it is low in salt and has a plain taste. 42g Contadina pizza sauce 42g this cheese 21g pepperoni Stump's hot giardiniera with oil drained as needed One 8.5 inch pizza has about 240 calories It also comes with a recipe for cauliflower crust which I have not tried.
Crazy good macros (40 cal, 9g protein), melts pretty well in microwave or oven (might take slightly longer than full or reduced fat cheese but not a huge difference). I love putting it in my egg white omelettes, in a pita with some chicken as a healthy quesadilla, or on lavash bread with sauce and turkey pepperoni as a low cal high protein pizza. Flavor isn't strong but pair w some oregano or garlic and ur golden
Best value for fat free Italian cheese for tuna melts, chicken melts, lasagna topping %26 risotto, pastas %26 pizza! Used it for years, only from Walmart!
While I look for the 1 diet that is right for me, this cheese tops it all. The taste is superior to all the ones I wanted to use.
Taste was really good, but not as fresh as I would've hoped did not seem to last as long in the fridge several spoiled
i find this to be a quality item at a great price
Walmart seems to be allergic to making money, cause they're always running out of this and don't sell a larger bag. For a Fat Free cheese it's actually pretty good, and the price is MUCH better than Kraft which costs 3x as much for the exact same size. If you're trying to shave some calories, but hate the taste of fat free cheese as much as I do, then try this: 1 part fat free moz 1 part fat free cheddar 1 part low fat fiesta blend You'll end up with a pretty tasty cheese mix with less than half the calories of normal fiesta blend!
Would like a refund for this cheese as it was recalled
absolutely awful. dry, tasteless and doesnt melt.
