Whether you seal the bag with air in it, or you squeeze out the air and THEN seal the bag, it makes no difference; the cheese never bunches up or sticks together. The individual pieces of cheese always stay separated, just the way you buy it. And the cheese always tastes fresh, and melts well.

I love great value in a lot of ways. They make quality and flavorful products at prices I cannot beat anywhere. If I am purchasing cheese for the die for flavor, I mostly go to other brands depending on the cheese. when I use it as part of a recipe, where the cheese flavor needs to be good but not bombastic, I use great value every time. The flavor is always good, the products always fresh and the price is not beateable unless another brand is having a sale LOL. as ingredients, or on my salads, this rocks. If I am making my deli sandwhich, well...a gourmet cheese is a gourmet cheese and great value is a great cheese but not a gourmet cheese. :) You need to keep this on hand, you never know :)

This is delicious on everything! Casseroles, tacos, burritos,potatoesits easy to use and melts well bevaxd, eggs and sandwiches are all great ways to use this cheese. I sprinkled this inside quesadillas for lunch today and it melted into a wonderful meal.

For a while I avoided shredded packaged cheese, all the chemicals and concerns. Bought this specifically for a recipe, and now it's always in my fridge. Fantastic blend, and so easy for nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, excellent sprinkled over rice and beans. Expiration date is far in the future, quality is consistently good.

This is a delicious cheese that I buy all the time. I eat it sprinkled on tacos and tamales. I mix it into my homemade chili and I even make Mac and Cheese with it. It is a blend of various cheeses that are somewhat mild, and a perfect mixture of different cheese flavors.

It's good cheese for the money sometimes it taste is better than other times, but thus to be expected with cheese, you can't always get the same exact flavor with cheese on every bag because it's just like a cow. It's not gonna be the same cow every time you milk it to get that milk to make the cheese so you never know but for the most part for what you pay for this cheese it's great.

I really wish I could get regular shredded cheese without the excessive powdery garbage caked all over and a half inch thick in the bottom of the bag. I actually got the shredded and not the finely shredded, hoping for better.. not hardly.. can't even taste the cheese because of the garbage. So much for “Great Value” I will spend a little more on the others in the future.

I've been buying this exact cheese for years, now all of a sudden the cheese is really stringy almost like rubber. I put it on top of a casserole and ended up throwing the entire thing away because the cheese was so gross. I am not sure what they changed about it but I was not the only one in my household to notice this!!! It's just not good. I tried the cheese several different ways - cold, warmed in the microwave, warmed in the oven, warmed in a pan over an omelette and it was absolutely disgusting no matter what I did! I guess I will try a name brand and see if their cheese looks, tastes and acts like real cheese cuz whatever this stuff was, was NOT real cheese. Oh yeah, this wasn't just a fluke, one bag accident... I bought several bags of the Great Value shredded cheese and they were all yuck.
