I like cheese almost as much as I like chocolate. I’ve never ate one I didn’t like, but some are far better than others. I would qualify this as some of the good ones. The price is in my neighborhood. (I’m not rich). The flavor is right on. And it should be in the Cheese Hall of Fame.
I have genuinely ordered two bags of this cheese every week four months. I love this cheese. It is very good for you and low-calorie for the amount of protein that it has. It's still retains. It's cheesy quality and melts relatively normally and you don't really notice it that it's low-calorie and low-fat so I really like that if you're trying to watch your calories and watch your fat and watch your protein intake this is a really good cheese to get and it's so cheap. I'm shocked by how cheap it is. This isn't promotional. I just genuinely eat this cheese all the time.
Not 8 ounces like the regular cheese but 7 ounces due to the reduced fat I suppose. Tastes great, in meal prep, salads, or just snacking right out of the bag.
This cheese blend of Great Value Shredded Reduced Fat Fiesta Cheese Blend as well as other Great Value Shredded Cheeses are a staple on my grocery list. I always have one bag open in the fridge and a couple of different types in the freezer. It is convenient because it is pre-shredded and easy to use in various recipes. I love to add the cheese to top or add to tacos, burgers, chili, cheese fries, broccoli, chicken divan recipe, salads, etc. I enjoy the gooey, flavorful mix of Monterey jack, reduced fat cheddar, reduced fat queso quesadilla and reduced fat asadero cheese flavors and would recommend for the cost as opposed to the other name brands.
We use this cheese to make grilled cheese, and for any recipe that calls for cheddar cheese, this lower calorie fiesta blend goes in. It melts well, tastes good, and saves on calories.
Great Value cheese is an excellent replacement for the more expensive brands. Their finally shredded cheeses melt wonderfully. i'd say go ahead and buy it if you can't afford Sargento or just don't want to spend that much money on cheese.
This Great Value reduced fat grated cheese tastes very good. Love it in tacos, tostadas, tamales and salads. The lower calories, fat, and cholesterol are great for cheese lovers who are also watching their nutrition and diet. Due to having less fat it melts a little less well, but I can live with that. Downside — it’s only 7 oz but costs the same as 8 oz. For sandwiches, also try GVs provolone unsmoked cheese slices for another low fat cheese alternative that tastes great, melts well and gives you 8 oz for same price.
Melts well - I used it to make chaffles. Taste is pretty decent. My only complaint is that the cholesterol on the back of the bag is 20mg where in the online item photo it is 15mg. So the online photo for the product is either outdated or the wrong item.
Incorrect nutrition facts on online listing compared to actual product. I got this because of the nutrition info on the listing so it's frustrating when it's incorrect
