I’ve been using this to make a cheese tomato sandwich that everyone has loved. Toast the bread in the oven according to package, cover it with a cheese like Parmesan or a white Mexican or even Swiss, lay a few slices of tomato with salt and pepper on top, top the tomato with sliced or grated mozzarella and heat at 425° until melting. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar glaze and it’s too good to share!
I just discovered this texas toast %26 I can honestly say it is worth 10 stars 6 mins in the oven %26 you have delicious cheesy bread, eat it as is or doctor it up for mini pizzas/sandwiches..love it! 8 generous slices for such a great price..so good!
Becoming increasingly impressed with Walmart’s in-house “Great Value” brand tbh. Insanely low prices and high quality products. This 4 cheese garlic toast is too good. We used the toaster oven and they came out perfect - melted cheese, crunchy crust, and super soft inside. Amazing flavor. 10/10
I really like this Great Value 5 cheese version of Texas Toast! There is plenty of cheese, but you may want to add garlic powder too, just like I did! Cooks in an air fryer, oven toaster, and even in the microwave if stood vertically. Toast is excellent. Just don't overcook, as it can get very hard.
Texas Toast! As the home chef for my family of 7, I cook a lot. and Great Value's Five Cheese Texas Toast is one of the family's favorites. Yes, I use it as a side with Italian dishes, but have it makes amaaaaaazing Grilled cheese Sandwiches! Place your cheeses in between two slices of the Texas toast, and you can either bake it in the oven or place it in a pan on the oven. Try it - the cheese that's already on/in the toast adds even more flavor to the cheddar or American Cheese that you place betwen the breads. Also, my kids enjoy it when I partially cook the Five Cheese Texas Toast in the oven or in the air fryer, then put a light coating of pasta/marinara sauce on it, cut a couple frozen meatballs in half, place them on top of the marinara, then place a slice of mozzarella (or shredded mozz) on top of the marina. It's a fun way to have a meal. Lots of recipes!
Recommended! somewhat decieving looks. Oddly tastes suprisingly pretty good actually, didn't have much of an expectance at first, but for what its currently worth being 2.64$ per pack, it really is quite the value! The cheese aren't really sparse/lacking though its not more present than now, it could definitely use at least a bit more cheese per slice for sure. The galric costing overall is very tasty. Its kinda like fresh in a way for a cheesy garlic butter bread. It gives an authentic climg on to the feel but not overly saturated/drenched right now. The old reviews might be outdated since its currently good from what i'd say. It also smells nice as well which is a plus.
I like everything about this product. I have bought the name brand garlic cheese bread andi believe the Walmart brand is just as good and the price is lower
I toast this to golden brown and eat it with my nongshim ramen noodles everytime. Dipping this bread into the broth is delicious. I don't know of anyone else who does this but it's amazing and I thought I'd share.
I bought the Great Value Five Cheese Texas Toast for my son (I'm allergic to garlic). He likes the GV brand just as well as the more expensive name brand, so I go with the cheaper option. I bought the Cheese Bread to go with our sauce %26 meatballs from a local Italian market. They are easy to heat up in a regular oven %26 my air fryer oven. I used a small basket on a pan (to catch any drips) in my air fryer oven with the bake function following the toaster oven directions on the package. They came out crisp on the top %26 bottom by using the basket.
These garlic cheese Texas toast slices go great with pasta of course, but they also make terrific quick snacks. I often add pepperoni slices, extra grated cheese like parmesan, a sprinkle of garlic powder. I pop them into the air fryer or oven broiler and in minutes have a hearty snack/light meal.
