⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Product: Great Value Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Toaster Pastries Review: Listen. I bought these knowing full well they were not Pop-Tarts. And yet… they had the audacity to be delicious anyway. The frosting-to-pastry ratio is aggressively generous, like Great Value said, “You've been through enough.” One bite and suddenly it's 7:12 a.m., I'm late, and everything feels a little more manageable. The brown sugar cinnamon filling tastes like fall, childhood, and bad financial decisions all rolled into one rectangular blessing. Toasted? Elite. Untoasted? Still slaps. Straight out the box at midnight? Don't ask questions. Pros: Cheap but emotionally supportive Frosting understood the assignment Makes tap water taste like a beverage Cons: Crumbs everywhere like a crime scene I planned to eat one… that was a lie Kids will find them no matter where you hide them Would I buy again? Yes. Would I defend them in public? Also yes.
Pleasantly surprised at how good these are. I ONLY like mine toasted, can't speak on straight out of the wrapper. Crust was tasty, ample filling-did not skimp on filling and the “frosting” was just right. Will be trying other flavors. Pricing beats the name brand, taste and quality seals the deal.
I appreciate the store brand of this item. Taste almost exactly the way pop tarts taste. I always zap mine in microwave to make them soft instead of toaster....it tastes better to me. Brown sugar and cinnamon is my favorite but hopefully they will make more flavors.
Better than Pop Tarts. Pop tart's crust is dry, dusty, crumbly and saltier where as the great value version has a softer bake, chewier not as salty crust. I prefer the great value version. If great value had more flavor variety like Pop Tarts does, they'd win all day.
Brown sugar pastries are a great snack when you want something but don't want a huge dessert. My mom is 92. I'll take her a package with a cup of coffee for an evening snack while watching a movie. I like them being foiled wrapped for freshness and portion control. They are not sickening sweet and I can put a package in her purse just in case we are out too long and she needs something for her stomach, until we get home to dinner. The crusts are soft and blend well with the cinnamon and sugar. The icing is perfect. Not too sweet yet blends well with the pastry.
Way better than the original pop tart brand and I don't even buy pop tarts anymore, but I do get these faithfully whenever I do buy there's more feeling and more icing on these then on the regular pop tart and and the ingredients taste way better than whatever they use for the Pop-Tarts brand my only wish is that they had the s'mores.
I love Walmart's great value brand. These are better than the name brand that are more expensive. They are softer, not as hard. And much more flavorful. I add peanut butter to the top with a glass of milk. They are so good! Try them, you'll see for yourself.
well considering I have had abot every pop tart in historical history. When you putbthis up to Kellogg Pop Tarts. the cinnamon brown sugar Walmart brand is so much better. the ratio of brown sugar and cinnamon are awesome and the frosting glaze is perfectly performed.
Good pastry texture and flavor; not sure how good it is for you, the concept of brown sugar between two layers of flour kind of creeps me out like the brand of toaster pastry everyone mindlessly eats; but I bought it for my granddaughter, she hated it so I tried it. Someone else would love it I'm sure. The price is great, I would buy strawberry or blueberry.
The frosting on these toaster pastries is kind of sparing and not spread evenly. Versus the main national brand, these are not as good, but the price is a selling point. I buy these all the time and I eat them regularly. They are very much worth what you get for the price and as a matter of fact I am eating some right this minute. I don't miss not being able to get other brands, these are priced right. The cinnamon filling is wonderful, the downside for me is the pastry part. I honestly can't quantify the difference in the pastry on these and on the national brand, other than to day the national brand has a better texture.
