Tasty and satisfying for half a buck each

James March 20, 2026

I have to dip these in spicy white wine mustard to complete the experience. My trick to get these hot fast is 30 seconds per dog in the microwave for thawing, then heat them at 375 in my toaster oven for only about 5 to 7 minutes to crisp the exterior and complete the heating. I refuse to pay a dollar each for name brand versions when the ingredients are so incredibly low cost to begin with, and chicken dogs are perfectly acceptable and more healthy than the usual pork dogs. GV is the way to go with these.

Better than Brand Name

Tiffany April 7, 2026

We usually buy either Foster Farms or State Fair brand corn dogs, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover these store brand ones actually taste better! I don't know why I ever doubted it because a lot of Walmart's store brand stuff tastes better than the name brand. We're buying these from now on.

I love these corn dogs. They are better than the name brands. But just because they are better doesn't mean the GV brand should make them as expensive as the big name brands. Put a little honey n the batter like another off brand I buy, because like that brand, when their prices went up, I still bought them. The smaller quantity is one reason I buy these and not those honey kind.

remember your childhood

Peter September 21, 2025

Walmart frozen corn dogs just remind me of childhood. taste is great whether you use an air fryer, oven, or microwave. oven or air fryer give you that nice crisp exterior plus the Walmart brand saves you money. these were enjoyed as a movie night snack.

THANK YOU

Bridget March 4, 2026

Well once again I can say I am very satisfied with the GREAT VALUE. Just now I tried for the first time your GREAT VALUE FROZEN CORN 🌽 DOGS. As I ate them I realized even though its a frozen food, it tasted as though it it was fresh. I just had some frozen dogs in my freezer that I tried which were of poor quality and taste. That is the reason I decided to try your product. I've ordered other glGreat Value items before and I was sure I would not be disappointed. That's exactly what happened. I got great taste and value for my money. So thanks again Walmart and keep up the great work..👍

We got these as a substitution because our item was out of stock and the backup was also out of stock. There is no bag/liner in box so if you don't eat them quickly they will probably get freezer burnt. They're much smaller than the typical corn dog that you get from other brands and my husband was really not happy with the taste.

Bad customer service

Gabby October 14, 2025

I ordered this item online and I never received it when I went to go pick up my order when I called Walmart they told they weren't going to give me a refund or replace the item that they forgot to put it in my order I'm so angry they have poor customer service

After enjoying these for a couple of years, now I would not recommend them to a hog! The dog portion was like rubber and unless you cook them 10min beyond their recommended time they are very doughy inside with the outside being nearly burned. This didn't used to be the case, but the last 2 pks I bought were this way.

These corn dogs made my kids cry.

Susan November 10, 2025

The corn coating was like dry sand, fell apart too easily with just lifting it off of the plate. The hot dog was softer and limper than a vienna sausage with almost no flavor. The texture of the coating was sand-like with barely any flavor. I was hoping to find a snack treat for the kids, but they cried so much. I had to buy them Happy Meals to stop the crying.

Not Great Bob, Very Disappointing

anonymous July 1, 2025

I like corndogs and I have eaten quite a few in my day, these are by FAR the worst I have ever eaten. I warmed these up in a toaster oven style air fryer. The cornmeal and the dog were both really terrible. The outer cornmeal was gritty in a way I have never had on any dog before. Not a bad taste, but just such a weird sandy feel when eating them. Not pleasant. The dogs inside did taste bad though. Very thin dogs with a very thick casing and lousy taste. A bit crazy just how bad the dogs were, where did they source these from? I cant even imagine a supplier selling these dogs as just hot dogs? The pairing of these dogs with the gritty cornmeal coating makes these the worst corndogs Ive ever eaten.
