The quality of all frozen shrimp varies greatly with the size (price), and this seems to be the best value. I have had mostly good experiences with the 31-40 size...but the 26-30 (or larger)are are consistently superior at a very reasonable price. Cleaned/peeled very well, taste and texture are fresh, and Walmart cannot be matched on the price.

This size and the Jumbo are what you are looking for in texture and taste. These are open ocean aqua farmed, likely cold pasteurized (irradiated). In my experience, these will hold for a week thawed out if you keep your fingers off them and strain the water upon thawing. Add to cooked dishes last minute they are perfect.

This shrimp is delicious, serve it weekly as an appetizer, along with cocktail sauce when granddaughter comes over. I use it within the week. If I keep stored in the freezer, I forget %26 it doesn't seem to freeze long term without the ice crystals %26 the freshness goes away. Nice size shrimp!

This is the perfect product if you are in a rush and need to have something to eat quickly. I would suggest thawing them out first and check to make sure they are cleaned well. Also to watch that you don't overcook them because they are already cooked and need to be sauteed just a little. They are a nice size and with your special touch they will taste great. You will have to peel the tail if you prefer not to have it on.

We can thoroughly enjoy these shrimp because they are extra large, cooked and peeled already. Only the tail is still attached which gives you something to hang on to. Since they are already cooked, we just put them in some hot water (as they are usually frozen) and enjoy them with cocktail sauce. One bag is more than enough for the two of us and we have it like a dinner. They taste terrific and are a pleasant treat to enjoy

Not that large to me, maybe medium once thawed out and the ice coating washes off.. they shouldn't be allowed to call these extra large.... They are easy to thaw, and heat up fast as they are already cooked... I like the convenience., and I have used them in several recipes., like Shrimp and scallops with Polenta and smashed tomatillos, I also made Shrimp in homeamade cranberry sauce, and more

The pieces are to small I have bought the small bag and these at the same time and have found the same pieces from the small sixteen are the same as in the big bag that is 100% dishonest there is a major difference in flavor and quality between the large and the small

I rated three star because on packaging the count states 26-30 but after counting each time, the count was short...less than 26...very disappointing. At least give what you stated. The quality, texture, freshness %26 frying with Fish Fry batter coating the flavor was enjoyable...shrimp %26 grits the bottom line.

There frozen shrimp are over cooked and very chewy, with very little flavor. I even mix horseradish and Worcestershire into cocktail sauce and the flavoring just doesn't work. Raw Gulf Shrimp home cooked with spices to taste would definitely be better. These shrimp will do if you're in a rush, or just don't want to cook.
