Easy to thaw, add them to Ramen, Shrimp Alfredo, Shrimp Fried Rice. Only cook to heat them up (about 30 seconds in microwave) or they will get tough. But I love adding them to already heated frozen dinners to add more shrimp. Or just thawing and snacking
Perfect for any reason you would need shrimp: Salad, seafood alfredo, gumbo or something noboby has ever heard of except for that one person, sitting on a park bench contemplating the many choices they've made, some of which didn't include shrimp and should have. You just have to ask yourself, "What would Bubba Gump do?"
I love the baby shrimp when I make my version of Korean pancakes. Additionally, I add shiitake mushrooms, green onions, or fresh chives, garlic stems, and sweet onions with a little Knorr chicken powder stock and black or white pepper to taste. It's very tasty and yummy. When I am in a rush, I use onion and garlic powder.
Great Value Frozen Cooked Extra Small Peeled and Deveined, Tail-off Shrimp, 12 oz (100-150 Count per lb) is a main stay addition to TransOcean Crab Supreme Imitation Crab, Flake Style, 24 oz for a homemade crab salad. A regular addition to recipes in my household.
Who doesn't prefer "quick and easy?" And which of us doesn't prefer "delicious?" Thanks to Great Value small shrimp, there is no preparation. Open the bag and serve! Shrimp lovers don't love peeling and deveining the product but agree that the end result is well worth it. So why don't we facilitate the end result, OK? The bag opens easily and is closed and sealed easily as well. Take care to defrost and portion for serving while not allowing shrimp to get too warm. Texture is plump and soft for the size of the shrimp and never too salty. It will elevate your salad to a "Louie" quality and use it in soup or cocktail. Great product: Great Value
My favorite use of these little shrimp is for shrimp tacos or shrimp burritos. I simply warm them in a little garlic butter and a squirt of lime. Then place them on my tortilla with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and pineapple tidbits. Add sour cream or ranch dressing. A fast, easy, satisfying, delicious meal. They're also good as a snack with some cocktail sauce.
Maybe it's because I grew up in Forrest Gump country, but I'm picky about my shrimp. These are a really good value. Probably farm raised in India. They are utterly flavorless. I mean they might as well be tofu. And there is a lack of firmness in the texture that's a little unsettling. I'm guessing they're a little undercooked. I won't buy them again. I hate it because, like I said, the value is great. But I buy shrimp for the taste and there's none here.
I have been buying this Walmart brand of XS cooked and de-veined shrimp for years and I have always ended up de-veining about 10% of the shrimp myself. These pictures show half a bag thawed and I'll need to de-vein between 30-40%. It seems the quality control on this product has been getting worse over time. Might be time for Walmart to find a new supplier.
I bought for my cats. Stragely, while they have liked other larger shrimp from the same brand, they would not eat this product after a taste test at first. Went to waste.
Very disappointed this time. My groceries in the bag wasn't labeled. The young girl didn't seem to know what she was doing. I got the small watermelon that's 3.88. I ordered the big one. For 4.88. And got charged for the large one. Didn't get my 2 Lipton onion soup mix and got charged. My hotdog and hamburger buns were squished. Plus I have it to leave groceries on the side porch. It was left on the front porch.
