Don't need to cook as they're pre-cooked. They come shelled except for the tails. After thawing in the fridge, none of the shrimp seemed old. I rinse them in a strainer with cold water after thawing and then manually lift the shrimp from the strainer to leave the little broken pieces of shell behind. The size is good for salad rolls, but you'll need to cut or peel the tail shell off first. Love to dip the salad rolls in Asian peanut sauce. I also use this size and larger in stir fry with maybe a Kung Pao sauce. The medium size also works for just dipping them in cocktail sauce though I usually use a larger size with cocktail sauce.
Walmart is wonderful I love their hands on everything and they make sure your order gets to you fully with everything I do not have no bad news to give no one about Walmart and I appreciate them having a app for us people that don't drive to get food thank you very much
The shrimp looked just like it was pictured. Really easy to take the tail off. Makes for a fast addition to the meal. Love these on a stick for BBQ. Enjoy them added to make lettuce salad for a little extra protein. I like to add them to my clam chowder for an extra seafood thick soup. Since the is ready to eat, it makes using and adding it to a meal fast nd simple.
These are good shrimp. I buy them about every two weeks, and I have not noticed anything to complain about in the last year or so. I have a small drained that I put them in, and with cold water, they thaw in fewer than five minutes. I usually heat them thereafter--often with a bit of butter flavored spray and garlic powder.
I live in Assisted Living, and when we get shrimp here for our meals, we get those little tiny shrimp that are heavily dredged and coatied and then deep fried so that they are soaked with grease. Then when they are served, they've gone cold. Of course, wanting something different and fresh, I bought a bag of these. Kept them in the freezer in my small refrigerator. When I was ready to eat them, I ran some cold water into the bag to get rid of the ice crystals, drained them well patted them dry, and put them in a bowl with a couple lettuce leaves in it. I had bought a bottle of seafood sauce, and I shared with the lady at my table, but this was the best shrimp I had had in a long time! The whole bag was consumed! Super fresh, sweet tasting, and kept frozen until the last minute so it was icy cold. I do plan on buying it again.
I had bought the extra large deveined and peel shrimp. It was devein, but it was not peeled. I had to peel them all so it wasn't very fun to do when I bought something. It says deveined and Peele. Well this wasn't and peel it was but it wasn't peeled.
These shrimp are delicious. They freeze well and thaw out well when ready to prepare. Most all of them are clean. Occasionally a little cleaning and more rinsing at thawing is needed. But overall we recommend these shrimp. Wish the bag sizes were 1 pound and 2 pound. We will continue to purchase these shrimp. Highly recommend!
I try to keep two bags of these in my freezer at all times. Shrimp are a low fat protein, and these precooked, peeled versions are super fast to prepare. Dump them into a bowl of cold water to thaw quickly. Just as they begin to get slightly pliable, you can twist off the tail shell from the body and serve them without tails, hassle-free. This makes them easier to eat without messy fingers. This size is perfect for bite-sized servings of shrimp cocktail, shrimp scampi, shrimp salad, or shrimp in cheese sauces. Serve cold or gently warmed. Cook your sauces first and add these fully cooked shrimp at end to simply warm. Allowing these precooked shrimp to sit in sauces as they are cooking will cause the shrimp to overcook and they will lose their juicy plumpness, shrink, and become tough.
The order was not made on the time I was given. He also went to building One not TWO which is what the instructions. It said on the way at 4:45 and did not receive till after 5:19. My shrimp and ice cream was thawed out. No good. I understand he had two other stops but he made more than that. I followed him with my phone.
the straps were not very good tasteless they didn't have taste to it in a texture was more like scrambled eggs and no taste no flavor or shrimp no flavor from the sea or anything it is very nasty I would not recommend this. well they could have been a little bigger also besides could have been better but that's the main concern was The taste and the blandness flavorless and that's it it wasn't worth the value I want my money back
