I'm impressed with this product and am happy to recommend It is easy and quick to prepare and is a treat for us since we enjoy scampi. Also we live in a relatively rural area and pizza is the only delivery option. It is a generous size serving for my husband and I to share. I keep cooked linguine in the freezer so we can be ready to eat in about 12 minutes.
Seriously, the flavor profile is just incredible. The buttery garlic sauce is spot-on – perfectly seasoned, not too strong, but rich enough to make every bite a delight. And the shrimp themselves? Oh my goodness, they're wonderfully substantial, none of those tiny, sad little things. We're talking nice sized shrimp, juicy pieces that really hold their own.
It tastes good. Should have more shrimp for the price. Easy to prepare. I think if serving more than 2 people and this is a main course, you would have to buy several or add to it from other sources. Texture is fine, its hard to screw up shrimp and butter with garlic.
I used to make shrimp scampi using a recipe from scratch but then i discovered the GV Frozen Garlic Shrimp scampi and now I never make home made anymore. Great for a quick dinner, easy instructions and I pop a bag of instant rice pilaf in the microwave and dinner is served. Great for the working people who don't want to stand over a hot stove all evening.
This is the best shimp scampi I have ever had except Red Lobster. It's quick and easy to fix. You can eat it over pasta or with a side dish. It's also economical, when you are on a budget and need to count pennies with this you don't have to sacrifice your taste buds because you can't afford Red Lobster. I love it!!!
We had this over rice this week. Very easy to prepare. I thawed in the fridge for a day, but that isn't necessary. I wanted to make sure the shrimp were evenly cooked and very tender. I wasn't in a rush. Wish the shrimp were one size larger, but enjoyed it anyway. Bag serves 2.5.
This is a perfect easy meal. My mom loves it so much I make it at least once a week for her. All the seasoning and butter you need is already on the shrimp. Just put it in the pan and cook. I usually make with linguini but you could also do rice or any other pasta!
The shrimp were actually juicy and flavorful, I was pleasantly surprised! I did undercook and let sit in the microwave for a minute or two... I will definitely order again. I made shrimp tacos with hot guava salsa and shredded cabbage... i think the ultimate difference is that I toasted the tortillas on the burner to get that charred flavor...
The herbs were overpowering and the shrimp themselves were very strong and fishy, as if they were very old (Best Before was 1/31/2027) or had thawed and refrozen. Poor quality. Threw most of it out. Won't buy again. Bring back the SeaPak shrimp scampi, it is much better.
I cannot believe the reviews that this product has been getting. It just blows my mind. This was the first time I bought this product and it tasted nowhere near like shrimp scampi or garlic taste to it, very strange taste, horrible. I had one bite and threw the rest out, garbage.
