I was totally totally against walmart shrimp but a family member recommend them so I grabbed a bag and now they are on my shopping list weekly. They are so easy, you can get them raw or already cooked for those that are a little nervous. They are already cleaned out which makes them an easy go to!! Easy to peel, good size depending on the size you want and take minutes to cook! As a shrimp snob, I totally recommend these!
The shrimp came frozen after serving them in a bowl of salted water they thought out and it was easy to peel off their tails. Super easy to season and saute for easy healthy meal. My family enjoyed the headed to me alfredo with shrimp for dinner. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
I am very pleased with the quality of these frozen shrimp. Since they are already peeled they save a ton of time when making dinner. They have a great mild flavor and a firm texture once cooked up. It is a highly affordable seafood option that offers amazing value for the price.
Great from freezer to preheated oven 400° 20 min. prepare favorite rub using a nonstick muffin tin fill each muffin tin with 2 or 3 frozen shrimp. season with hot spicy rub garlic squeeze 1 TBS fresh lime or lemon atop each shrimp cup. bake 15 minutes. beautiful pink tasty shrimp. appetizers
The shrimp were really good. Easy to prepare and delicious as long as you don't overcook them. I had also bought a pound of the Great Value raw “jumbo” shrimp, but they were definitely not jumbo, they were barely even large. It's kind of hard to tell because you can hardly see into the package with all the branding and everything that's on the outside. Anyway, just another example of the customer paying more and getting less. I went ahead and prepared them and they were OK. Walmart would not do anything for me even though the size of the shrimp were clearly misrepresented and I certainly overpaid for what I got.
These shrimp looked great, and cooked up just fine - as well as any frozen shrimp. HOWEVER, they DO contain sulfites! My spouse is extremely allergic to sulfites, so I always read ingredient labels, etc., so they don't, you know, die. The ingredient list on the product page makes NO mention of sulfites, even though the actual package clearly says so. Beware if you or a loved one are sensitive to, or allergic to sulfites.
Having been born near the Ocean and its tributaries I had the double edged fortune to eat fresh caught seafood including shrimp, shrimp I caught. I can say with all certainty that frozen shrimp is not shrimp capable of being good. That said Great Value frozen shrimp if used in a recipe that carries it's own flavors they will do. Careful frozen shrimp are strong use sparingly. Be careful not to over coook, Two three minutes of stir fry will do.
Disappointed in the misleading label. This is the 3rd time we’ve purchased this product and the label states 26-30 pieces per bag. Our purchases have had 21 pc, 22pc, and 21 pc - in that order. The count on the label needs to be changed and the price per oz. Lowered to accurately represent the cost and value you get.
Most of the time this items is great, but this time (due to it being a pickup order) when I got my groceries home to put them away. I noticed it. The bag of shrimp was open. The shrimp on the top of the bag are dried out and no good. Will be asking for a refund this time. Like I said though usually they're great.
i had to throw them out as i didnt want it smelling my apart . i threw them in the dumpster. they were bad. and furthermore i always buy the collasal and they purchased the xlarge. i really dont care about your 6. or 7. i just wanted you to know they were bad.
