My husband and I have purchased these shrimp many times over the years because a bag or two needs to be in our freezer at all times! The quality is consistent, the shrimp are perfect for salads, curries, Thai dishes, and so much more. The fact that it's frozen makes it ideal for busy weeknights because it can adapt to almost any recipe, whether sautéed, oven-roasted, or grilled.
I love the these shrimp! They are half the price at Walmart and always good. I keep them in my freezer for last minute meals. It takes 4 minutes to cook them after they are thawed and throw them over a salad, in pasta, etc.i recommend them to everyone.
love these shrimp very tender as long as you don't over cook. oven on 350 bake Abt 7 to 10 mins if they curl to a loose C or turn pink opaque with pearly white color in the center Now that's for sm to med shrimp large shrimp takes to 13 mins and jumbo takes 15 mins just keep and eye on them
It really is easy to clean, including the bile tract, as well as the right size (Jumbo although sometimes it's closer to extra large, but a good size nonetheless) for cooking in a myriad of dishes, from Shrimp Scampi, to Coconut Shrimp, to Paella, and Shrimp soup, etc. A decent price for what you receive considering it's not fresh, but frozen, which in this case is not a bad thing. Personally I divide them into individual baggies, or containers and use that as needed instead of opening and closing the main big bag. One of my go to affordable staples when fresh fish isn't readily available.
always a big shrimp eater since childhood so ive had the great, the bad and the ugly these are suprisingly good. no iodine smell, texture is perfect (if cooked properly), not mushy at all and the flavor is right there with the seafood store. Keep it up!
Great size and flavor. I made shrimp scampi pasta with these and was a hit. I also made a loboil with these shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. Threw some butter and lots of garlic with seasoning and threw it a casserole dish in the oven and was amazing. Great size and great flavor.
they were spoiled i called was told i would be sent a refund so when i didn't get it i call back 2 more time kept getting different stories. finally i was told to put the spoiled pot of shrimp in my car and bring it to the store worst experience ever.
I received an email from the manufacturer saying that the shrimp was recalled due to a possible radiation issue, however two weeks later and I don't know how to receive my credit for this. For future updates I would appreciate it if anyone can contact me immediately to avoid additional issues.
The potatoes were good. Everything I've ordered from Walmart has been exceptional and expected…EXCEPT the Shrimp. I didn't realize until the next day or so that the bag was opened (looked like the bag had been “accidentally” sliced open when stored by Walmart?)however, several of the shrimp were freezer damaged and had freezer burns. I've never had this problem before, actually the shrimp is really good. Also the gallon of milk that I received, when I got ready to put it in my refrigerator it had spilled inside of the bag and actually made a big mess on my kitchen floor. My suggestion to any of the people transporting milk to a customer; make sure that the milk is sitting upright and not lying on its side because it will definitely leak out. Alot of the milk had spilled out, even though the cap was secure on the jug.
These bags are NOT. 2 lbs. I used these for a recipe and after taking out and thawing the shrimp, there was a little over a pound of shrimp per bag. Luckily I bought two bags, but still, this is advertised incorrectly and we are paying over 8$ a pound on a supposed 2lb bag, that's utterly unacceptable. I will be weighing my items from Walmart going forward. Including my meat! Do better Walmart!!
