I love Smiles. I can go through a box by myself in 2 to 3 days. I always make sure to have some on hand for when my grandchildren visit. The texture is perfect. Not too chewy and doesn't stick to your teeth like other similar candies. Love the flavors too.
When I first tried these after their recent change to the product I thought they were terrible and had no flavor. But there's something in them that the more I ate them the better they tasted. If I eat them every day they are delicious. If I skip a few days then the next time I eat them they are very bland. It's weird. There must be some addictive additive added. Either way I like them so I will keep buying them lol
They were ok. I don't eat a lot of them. I buy them for company mainly. I have been told that the Welch's are better. so will probably go back to those.
i compared walmarts brand to welchs and found that walmarts brand was way better in flavor and the texture was betterboth me and my son agreed that walmart was the pick over the name brand
About a year ago, Great Value changed the way they made these fruit snacks and they were HORRIBLE. No taste, sticky, disgusting. Several people complained, so they changed the recipe back to original. Much better. However, I noticed that over the past month or so, the fruit snacks are now more similar to the GROSS recipe. They're VERY STICKY. There's still some taste, but not as much as before. They're definitely trying to cheap out on the ingredients, causing these fruit snacks to be EXTREMELY sticky and tasteless. Go back to the original recipe.
These are really terrible. When my kids told me that they didn't like them, I tried them and they were gross. Hardly any flavor and weirdly waxy. Yuck.
We LOVE these fruit snacks. They are superior to every other fruit snack option out there. And the lemon. They are THE BEST!! I'm devastated because the last box we bought, all of the lemon ones were completely inedible! Gross, hard to chew, no flavor, absolutely disgusting. 😩 Of course, all of the other flavors seem totally fine.
These things are gross. Some better options. Meat Beef jerky Pepperoni slices Hard boiled eggs Fruit Apple slices with peanut butter Banana Dates Dried fruits Veg Carrots and hummus Celery with peanut butter Cucumber slices with salt Bell pepper strips Cherry tomatoes
Oh, Sam, what have you done to my fruity smiles? These are TERRIBLE!!!! Okay, okay, I know... I'm buying generic, store-brand gummy snacks, but still... They used to have a pleasant texture, a little firmer than a Welch's, but now it's like trying to bite through an earlobe. It's NOT gummy at all, it's not chewy, it's just funky. If you hold them in your mouth to warm up, they never really warm up and melt(ish) the way other snacks do. They just retain their shape. When you bite them in half, now you just have two pieces of weirdly off-putting snack. I bought these for a trip, for the convenience, but they were so bad, I literally threw them away. I couldn't think of anyone I hated enough to give these to... No thank you!
My daughter ate some of these and was bouncing off the walls like never before. They have more sugar than any other fruit snacks, and they are packed full of red 40. I have never seen my child that hyper. They are also so processed that they made my stomach so upset, I threw up. I'm throwing the whole box away.
