I have used this brownie mix for over 10 years. Made over a 1000 for a band contest and sold out before lunch time Was a band band parent for 7 years and made them to sell in concession stand at football games and received more complements than could ever count. These are the best brownie mix you will ever put your hands on. For the best results use milk instead of water and a little vanilla flavoring. Perfect every time.
I love this fudge brownie mix from Great Value. It aways comes out perfectly! It's the perfect moist and fluffy and delicious butter texture. I kicked up a notch adding chocolate chips on top I also have added milk and coffee creamer and for the coffee lovers like me, instant coffee powder and/or coffee instead of water it will taste amazing! Best brownie for the best price!!! It's away one box in my pantry!
I think this brownie mix is good. We tried a bunch of different brands and I thought this was the 2nd best one we tried. I'm not a brownie expert, but I think these are really good, especially for the money. You can bake a little longer if you like the harder edges.
OK, being the chocolate loving family that we are, brownie mixes are judged very harshly. I was on a very tight budget when I ordered the meal items, wanted to squeeze in a dessert (brownies), but really needed 2 boxes as our family is large and the kids eat like we haven't fed them in a month sometimes. So, I found these brownies while browsing, decided to give them a try since for the price I could afford 2 boxes. We generally will add nuts, chocolate chips, or toffee pieces when making the mix but not this time. Directions were basic and the same as for the other brands on the shelf. So, we baked them and I have to say they are very, very good. They were definitely fudgy in the center, nice crust on the edges, good chocolate flavor with no funky aftertaste and you can leave them in the oven for a few minutes more if moist and fudgy is not what you are looking for. Really good, should really try them...
Tastes just as good as the brand name. For a different twist and reduced fat, I substitute no fat greek yogurt for the oil. Sometimes I use coffee flavored greek yogurt, sometimes tiramisu, unflavored or vanilla instead of the oil. The texture comes out a little different, but very tasty.
We recently gave this product a try. My son is a type 1 diabetic and we have kind of stayed away from cakes and brownies for a while. This mix is great. It has great flavor and he loved it. We have used muffin tins so it is much easier to do individual portions and we froze some. These are tasty and affordable.
This mix is delicious as well as versatile. Any add in from nuts, to chocolate chips (white or dark), peanut butter or butternut chips, M %26M's, coconut or any other decadent thing you love with chocolate is wonderful and doesn't affect the easiness of this mix! You can make "Cake style" brownies by altering the size of the pan you use and the length of cooking time, If you want a moister, chewier brownie use a different size pan and less cooking time. AND if you are one of the people who love the crisp outer edges - try this!! It really works. I line the baking pan with Great Value parchment paper, spray lightly with their butter flavored pan spray and put the batter on top then bake. When they come out of the oven, I let cool for about 5 minutes then I invert the pan and remove the parchment paper and slice about 1/2" border all the way around the perimeter and separate those edges before cutting the rest into brownie squares. Then I cut the edges into smaller pieces and put them in a resealable baggie for those crispy edge lovers!! Works perfectly.
Have decided not to bake anymore. Got this for a pot luck and did not come out looking good. But tasted wonderful. By the time I got back from the potluck there was very little left. Could also have been the first time I used a glass pan to bake it
They came out very moist and very chocolaty. They were way better than i was expecting especially after reading reviews and seeing the pictures people had posted but to my surprise they came out really good with no issues. I was skeptical also about the amount of water and oil it called for way more than othsr brands i have made but it actually came out perfect using the amounts it said on the box. My only complaint is they have a slight artificial chocolaty taste. Other name brands definitely have a better flavor but dont necessarily cook as good. Probably wont buy again only because I dont care for the artificial chocolate taste and in my opinion Betty Crocker has a way better flavor but the fudge one does get hard around the crust but ill probably stick with them unless i give phillsberry a try and its even better. We shall see.
Ok. I have a mix review. It looks, and smells amazing. It was fluffy, however, it had absolutely NO taste of chocolate. I could like bread and like the smell of chocolate super weird. My husband and daughter said the same thing. Just wasn't our thing. Other than that it was great
