it was the better value. tastes better than the more expensive brand and cooks just as fast and easy. the kids loaded their spaghetti on top, some dipped it in the sauce one basically made it into a boat and put the spaghetti in the middle. it was Def a hit all.around!
This Garlic flavored Texas Toast from Great Value holds its own against the other name brands that are considerably more expensive. I made the swap to this garlic bread a while ago and nobody in the family noticed the difference. I now serve it regularly with my pasta's (Lasagna and Spaghetti especially), but it also goes well with steaks off the grill!
Great Value garlic bread is honestly really good for the price. It's way cheaper than the big name brands but still tastes just as good, if not better sometimes. My kids love it and it disappears pretty quick whenever we make it. Simple side, but it always hits and I keep buying it.
This is a great product. Nice medium garlic taste, not overwhelming so that I still taste my lasagna. The crunch is great. It is a soft mouth crunch feel. It does brown very well. I let it thaw and then used my toaster and it came out perfect. It is thick enough to sop up the sauce.
This garlic bread cooks up perfectly in our air fryer. There is plenty of flavoring and it has a good crunch when you air fry it. We love this brand and it's a great value. We prefer this to the other name brands out there. The breadsticks GV are just as good! We love using this for when we have pasta dinners even making meatball garlic toast sandwiches :)
My family loves it with many types of meals. I gave it for stars on value for the money because there are 8 slices to a box. If you make your own, you get a lot more slices and might cost less! If convenience is what you're after this bread is perfect.
After taking it out of the oven or air fryer they have a good crisp to them and still some softness especially in the middle so it's not as if you're biting into a brick. They are also not overly crumbly or have a lot of crumb fallout when cooked. They have a taste that's on par with name brands and our family likes these a lot.
Could use a little more garlic... I don't like a lot of garlic but I couldn't taste any garlic at all which was kind of disappointing. This would be perfect for somebody that doesn't care for a lot of garlic. Price is great because you get a lot for the money. I ran out of room in my freezer so I kept in in my fridge for a couple days until I could eat it. This ended up working out so well because I could just pop a couple slices in the toaster and not have to start up the oven. it's just me and so this was super quick and convenient...also delicious. I had to toast it a couple times but it ended up cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy...what a time saver. This was a substitution. I think I would like the cheesy garlic toast better.
These are nice and cheap, but they've gotten worse and worse. They often have no seasoning or coating now -- about half the slices will just be bread. I keep a jar of minced garlic and some Parmesan cheese and garlic powder to revive them with, but it's disappointing to see them getting this bad. I like them, but if I were out of those ingredients I wouldn't buy them.
These were very small slices.I was disgusted at how small these have gotten. The taste is ok but kid sized slices is a huge letdown. For the price not bad but if you want normal slices buy a name brand or buy many boxes of these if you plan on having enough because 2 slices equal about one slice of name brand garlic bread. If you want small portions this might be for you as they do taste ok.
