Great Value Grated Parmesan Cheese, 8 oz Shaker

I know I'm repeating myself but WalMart brands are hard to beat. Being an Italian, I've tried them all and you can't tell this one from the big name brand. Don't waste your money. I got tired of shredding my own and bought it pre-shredded and then "trying" this during the money crunch days and I never bought any other brand. EVER.

This cheese is very good. I used the brand name for years and then I retired. Now, I try to save a few dollars here and there. But many of the store brands were awful. They tasted terrible and had the texture of cardboard. This Great Value Parmesan is equal to the Brand name Parmesan cheese. The flavor is not too salty and it pours/sprinkles smoothly from the canister. It is great on spaghetti or in recipes. My favorite thing to use it on is buttered popcorn. That is super delicious.

The best cheese ever! It is very cheesy, natural and pleasant taste! I add it to my pasta, mashed potatoes, and salads - immediate boost of flavour! Sometimes it sticks into big chunks but you can shake it up and it’s just perfect. It is also good for you if you are on a diet - because you need just a tiny bit of it to get an extra cheesy flavour comparing to mozzarella. I also combine these two type of cheese - mozzarella melts and parmesan give this sophisticated flavour. Look for some inspiration on my photos:)

Very good parmesan! This is another Great Value that lives up to its name! The vast majority of Great Value items are as good or better than their comparable name brand, and usually at a much better price. Thank you for offering such great products with much needed lower prices.

Y'all, I'm a Southern girl, and I am going to give you guys a big secret. If you like fried fish, chicken, pork chops, etc, add some of this into your meal/flour mix. Mmmm mmmm good! Yes, you can use it to make alfredo sauce, put in macaroni or spaghetti as well. Try it and let me know what you think!

I purchased the Great Value Grated Parmesan Cheese, 8-ounce size, expecting cheese. What I received was a masterpiece of modern engineering disguised as a plastic shaker container. The cheese itself is fine, but the real star is the container. This magnificent cylinder stands proudly in my refrigerator like a monument to human achievement. The lid twists with confidence. The shaker holes dispense Parmesan with the precision of a Swiss watch. Every shake feels important, as though I am personally seasoning a five-star Italian feast instead of dumping cheese onto frozen pizza at 11:47 PM. The plastic is sturdy enough to survive daily use yet light enough to carry with ease. I have accidentally dropped it, knocked it over, and launched it across the counter while reaching for milk. It endured these trials with dignity and grace. The transparent body allows me to witness my remaining cheese reserves, eliminating the uncertainty that has plagued humanity for centuries. No more guessing. No more fear. Only knowledge. When the Parmesan is gone, I may keep the container as a family heirloom. Future generations will gather around it and ask, "How did they achieve such perfection?" I will simply nod and say, "Great Value." An extraordinary vessel containing a perfectly acceptable cheese. Five stars for the Parmesan. Six stars for the container. If they sold the shaker empty, I'd probably buy three.

I keep this %23%23%23 Great Value Grated Parmesan Cheese in my fridge all the time. It's great on pasta, pizza, salads, and even garlic bread. The flavor is surprisingly good for the price, and the shaker bottle makes it quick and easy to use. A solid budget-friendly staple that tastes just as good as some of the name brands.

Tastes the same as the name brand. Good price. Much cheaper than the brand name. Some folks use shredded Parmesan cheese, but I find it has less robust taste. The dried granular variety has stronger taste. Have bought this before, and will buy again.

If you're looking for parmesan cheese that is like actual cheese, this is not the product for you. The flavor is fine but it's more like.... cheese flavored bread crumbs more than actual parmesan cheese. It's fine for what I need, just sprinkling over spaghetti or in a salad but that's really all it's good for. I do recommend it for spaghetti but for people who are more particular about their cheese, this isn't the product for you.

We use so much Parmesan in our family, I opened this container and realized it was brown. The seal wasn’t broken and it was not expired based on the printed container date. I literally thought they switched to unbleached product. Can’t return and now I’m concerned about the future Parmesan purchases.
