Great flavor for gravy in a jar. I've been impressed with most of the Great Value brand, and this is a very good open-a-jar, heat-and-serve gravy. Not as good as Homemade spice to taste as you cook, but it's good. I could add the flavorings as I would for homemade, and it would be very close to the homemade taste and quality.
I had this gravy with some deli turkey and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful delicious cheap meal with very little cooking and clean up. Has a good taste compared to similar brands. I wild buy this brand again for the taste and savings from more expensive brands.
I really like the taste of this gravy and use it on mashed potatoes, chicken, and when making casseroles. I also like that it's low in calories, fat, and carbs plus has no added sugar. It would be better if the sodium amount was a little lower, but it's not terribly high.
2-minute new age Salisbury steak. I take a pound of good ground beef, maybe 85-15(you've got to have some fat) Just for the two of us I make 2 half pound patties, cooked to your preference, with onions and if you can afford them, canned mushrooms. Once all are cooked in the pan together add the gravy, 2-4 minutes to cook and mix flavors together then serve with potatoes or rice. Egg noodles work well also.
Tastes as good as any other brand named Turkey Gravy. Purchased all different brand names Turkey Gravy over the years, and Great Value Brand is the best buy.
My brother's wife passed a year ago. His passion since she has passed has become cooking and sports. He can cook but not really make gravy from scratch as that was his wife speciality Now this gravy is not Mom' gravy but it is tasty and really great for the price. He made his favorite hamburger steaks the minute he received the gravy. It was them and they were great with the gravy mash potatos abd string beans.
Thos is very easy for my 92 year old mother to fix and use, she loves it over her meats, dressing and potatoes.
It's supposed to be gravy, but it has more ingredients than a multi-vitamin (Not in a good way). It has a slight bitter after-taste, and honestly, it doesn't really taste like gravy. Sorry Great Value, as much as I love most of your products, this one is a failure...
When I checked the full description it claimed this gravy is gluten free and then it says it contains bleached wheat flour and barley flour. THIS IS NOT Gluten Free!!!!!! My husband has celiacs disease and absolutely can NOT have gluten. Someone needs to update the information to reflect accuracy.
I have purchased GV you stuff since Walmart came to my town. I bought everything because it was good quality and tasted better sometimes than the expensive brand name. YEs, I know inflation has hit and its not that much cheaper anymore. But, I liked the taste so I still buy it. But, this was horrible. It tasted like nothing. I took a spoonful and it was blah. I thought omg is it bad? Did it smell bad. NO…it looked good. But it literally just tasted like nothing. I swear not even a hint of chicken. I have another jar of “nothing” Don’t waste your $ just buy another brand or the package. I only buy it because I love that clear gel like gravy. I just can’t get that same look. But, cloudy chicken gravy from now on. Please get a new recipe or company to make all the GV items. And toss this recipe.
