Buy mainly for making floats and sundaes. The home style vanilla works a lot better than the French vanilla bean for floats. It does have more of an artificial (kinda buttery almost) flavor to it than the name brands, but for generic it's good. It's best with toppings or in a smoothie instead of on its own.
for the prices is a very tasty vanilla ice cream. it does not have the full richness of an expensive brand but if you're using it in a Sunday which I usually do it's perfect you add a little chocolate sauce or some strawberry sauce and you've got a great Sunday and the price is quite nice
Well now; I ain't some blueblood who was raised by a silverspoon out of the hand of a voluptous nanny who spoke 7 languages but I do know that I enjoy spooning the vanilla ice cream when it reaches the point of melting in the carton, right into my happy little mouth. It makes me smile.
The only reason I suggest this is because it is cheap and it works. Other than that, it ices over and crystalizes easily. Not super sweet, sometimes leaves kind of a weird smell from the container. All in all, if its all you can afford then get it. If you can afford more, please get something else for your own sanity.
It has too much artificial vanilla flavoring, is full of air, and just not good. Most of my kitties didn't like it either and most have no problem at all with lactose intolerance. If they do they either won't eat dairy or it shows up in the litter box. Kitties are smart too. :-)
This Great Value Homestyle Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream is so good that in a pinch it can pass for my homemade vanilla ice cream. My family cant tell the difference. I like to add all manner of toppings and fun treats into the mix or make root beer floats with GV creamy root beer. Customizing your dish of ice cream is also a fun things to do on a date or with the family.
I ordered this because it has many positive reviews. I know I was expecting it to be pretty good. Unfortunately I am really disappointed with it. It doesn't have much taste at all and really no vanilla flavor. I don't like the texture it has either. This is not ice cream as far as I'm concerned. When I was younger and we spent our summers in Canada we got the very best ice cream I have ever had. Nothing I have ever had in this country comes even close. And this product is even below that. I definitely don't recommend it.
Good for the price. Simple vanilla that works for everything—cones, sundaes, or just straight from the tub. Not super rich or fancy, but it gets the job done. Kids love it and it disappears fast. Great to keep on hand without spending a ton. Solid freezer staple.
So yeah pizza night for me and a float. decided to get that vanilla ice cream. This is great for it. I top it with whipped cream and cherries. I give it movie night approved stamp! plus its a grwat price. Only thing I had a problem with is the container, its kind of weak for holding the ice cream. I suggest eating it after two times out the freezer. Or hey just eat the whole tub, it tastes great. Scooping R Us
Hey We love this product and continue to purchase it as soon as it's gone. It's not only a treat for myself but also for my fur babies as they received it as a small treat once a month! So many thanks from PC Anna Bella Pippy
