Great Value Honey Nut O's Oat Breakfast Cereal, 12.25 oz, 1 Count

for many years I was buying the name brand of this cereal but this past year I had to watch my grocery budget and started buying more generic brands where I could. I was a little skeptical at first as I am a big serial eater and do not want to eat something that I imagined might taste like cardboard. I was pleasantly surprised when this cereal was just as tasty as the name brand much higher priced cereal. I literally cannot tell the difference. a great value for a good tasting breakfast cereal. I eat mine with almond milk it's crunchy right to the last bowl in the bag and my dollar goes a lot further.

I buy this cereal all the time for Great value because I use it as a snack mainly for myself and my granddaughters goes great with their cinnamon cereal that I've already reviewed. The flavor is great the size that you get is awesome so I would definitely suggest this.

After spending a week in the hospital, I developed a taste for those type of cereal. It is heart healthy because that's all I was allowed to eat Heart healthy stuff. It's not so bad. I was never a big serial eater but these are good. I've decided I can mix them in my yogurt or my oatmeal.

it's very good with strawberries. I've always liked this product because of its crunch and taste. however I do have one complaint, I noticed that the size on the large bag has been downsized for shrinkflation. it's still a pretty good value for price

I do buy the great value brand on a lot of items, but I don't like the taste of this as well as I like the honey nut Cheerios. We do wildlife rehab, however, and the raccoons love these. We go through quite a few boxes as we are weaning the babies from the bottles. They are always fresh and crunchy and the price is much better than the brand name

This cereal is pretty good tasting, especially for the price. I would buy it again. It's fresh. However, it's a little more crunchy than name brand Honey Nut Cheerios. And it's a good bit less sweet and flavorful than Honey Nut Cheerios. They stay a bit more crunchy than Honey Nut Cheerios once they sat in milk about 10 minutes. It is a good product, though. So if you have less money to spend and you are okay with a more crunchy, less sweet/honey tasting and a little less flavorful cereal, this is great for the price. If you are looking for that original very honey taste and texture, and are okay with spending around a dollar-ish more, get the original Honey Nut Cheerios. Side thought: you could always get these and perhaps if you have some honey in your cabinet, add that on top... more honey and sweetness and still saving money. 😉

I waited two weeks for this delivery. Wasn't worth the wait. the cereal is good, but didn't have a good honey nut flavor. Just tasted like Chex, nothing special.

Most store brand versions i have tried and do use are very good, not this one. No discernible sweetness at all. A huge difference in taste vs the name brand these are supposed to compete with. I tried them because of price vs name brand. If i want plain ones i would buy them again but since i do ‘not' want plain ones…i will not be buying them again, unless they alter the recipe and announce having done so. I try to avoid adding sugar to cereal, i will be doing so with these in order to tolerate using them up. The texture is good, piece size is good. Should not be called honey though.

I was in hopes that it would be like the name brand with the little bee. Well it is not. Cardboard would have been a better choice. I do not recommend this cereal. Just spend the extra money and get the name brand. I threw away a big box of this away.

The flavor itself was OK. Everything else was terrible. I used to always buy generic, but the Great Value brand must be cutting corners....all the wrong corners. I opened a fresh bag..the first bowl already tasted stale. Bummer!! Maybe I got a bad box?! Idk. I really hope this is a one off. I always gave GV props for keeping the prices fair while making good products! Hope we're not losing another one to shrinkflation and greed. 🥴🥹💩
