They’re soft, they’re sturdy enough to survive kid-loaded hot dogs, and they don’t fall apart mid-bite—what more do you want from a bun? The price is right, they don’t taste like cardboard, and let’s be honest: no one at the cookout is judging. I buy them, I toast them, and suddenly I’m a grill goddess with zero effort. Great Value? More like great call. Lunch: handled.
Great Value Hotdog Buns are essential to any dinner. They are always so soft and delicious. At every hot dog cook out we have I always purchase them. The price and value of the hotdog buns is is important to me . My family loves them . Also we use them to make mini sub sandwiches and meat ball subs.
Love having the great value brand available, groceries are expensive now days and brand isnt a must have for me. My children like the taste and dont fund a difference in the quality from other brands.
Great for the price as long as I get em’ fresh and not several days after shelf stock, bc then they tend to get hard quicker than name brands. Otherwise they taste the same!!
These are wonderful buns. They do an excellent job of holding a hot dog in your hand without getting condiments all over your hands. There is nothing worse than finishing your hot dog only to realize you have half of a jar of mustard messing up your shirt and jacket and possibly a tie, but in my humble opinion, a tie has no place at a ballgame.
These hot dog buns stay soft for what feels like ages. i personally keep them in the fridge to last longer. Sometimes if I want to feel extra, I will put some butter on them and toast them prior to eating with a hot dog. There is virtually no crunch unless I crisp them up like this, which is what I expect. if I run out of bread, I will even use these to make a mini hoagie with slices of ham and cheese.
Have bought this product regularly for years. These hot dog buns are perfect in every way! When paired with Nathan's bun-length hot dogs, they have managed (as if on purpose) to master the perfect “bun-to-hot-dog ratio” fantastic job! Keep making them, and I will keep buying them!
These buns are the Walmart store brand and as such are quite a bit cheaper than the name brand hot dog buns. The overall quality is exactly what you can expect from most Great Value items - they're not bad for the price. Personally I think when it comes to hot dogs you don't really need to splurge when it comes to the bun because let's be honest, it's not like these buns are meant to hold filet mignon. But yeah, these buns are exactly what you need when you're enjoying a hot dog with your friends and family.
I usually don't expect much from a store-brand bread, but these Great Value White Hot Dog Buns really impressed me. They are surprisingly soft right out of the bag, and unlike some other brands, they don't crumble or split down the middle the second you try to put a hot dog in them. They have that classic, slightly sweet white bread flavor that reminds me of backyard cookouts. I found that they toast up perfectly on the grill or in a pan with a little butter, giving them a nice golden crunch while the inside stays pillowy. They're a simple, reliable staple that does exactly what it needs to do without breaking the bank.
Everytime I buy these, there are always 3 or 4 of them with the bottom ripped off or the bun is unevenly cut. It is a terrible bun... whomever is making these hot dog buns needs to do it right or have your machines checked for the exact measure as to the cut because the top is this thick piece and the bottom is thinly cut.
