Great Value Hotdog Buns are essential to any dinner. They are always so soft and delicious. At every hot dog cook out we have I always purchase them. The price and value of the hotdog buns is is important to me . My family loves them . Also we use them to make mini sub sandwiches and meat ball subs.
They’re soft, they’re sturdy enough to survive kid-loaded hot dogs, and they don’t fall apart mid-bite—what more do you want from a bun? The price is right, they don’t taste like cardboard, and let’s be honest: no one at the cookout is judging. I buy them, I toast them, and suddenly I’m a grill goddess with zero effort. Great Value? More like great call. Lunch: handled.
Love having the great value brand available, groceries are expensive now days and brand isnt a must have for me. My children like the taste and dont fund a difference in the quality from other brands.
Great for the price as long as I get em’ fresh and not several days after shelf stock, bc then they tend to get hard quicker than name brands. Otherwise they taste the same!!
These buns are the Walmart store brand and as such are quite a bit cheaper than the name brand hot dog buns. The overall quality is exactly what you can expect from most Great Value items - they're not bad for the price. Personally I think when it comes to hot dogs you don't really need to splurge when it comes to the bun because let's be honest, it's not like these buns are meant to hold filet mignon. But yeah, these buns are exactly what you need when you're enjoying a hot dog with your friends and family.
This is a well priced, soft value bun. The only major drawback is that they often slice apart completely instead of opening as a hinge when not using caution. For our own backyard bbq nights, they are a good value, but if I were to do anything like a Nathan's or a bratwurst, I would use a more substantial choice than this.
They are good for the money, but they are kinda gluey. Sticks to your teeth and gets stale quick if you leave them out of the refrigerator. You could also put some garlic salt and butter and grill them to give them better flavor. Would be good hot dog buns for a kids party.
We've purchased these buns many times and have never had issues. This time around, we purchased three bags and all three had MOLD on the buns! All three!!! If you buy, beware. Just because the government says you don't have to quality check your stuff doesn't mean you shouldn't.
I've ordered GV hotdog buns multiple times over the last few months and every time they are small, dry, crumbly, and multiple are cut wrong, not cut at all, or deformed. I end up having to throw multiple buns out. Their hamburger buns are the same way. seems to be a major quality control issue.
I sent it back because somebody put two 6 packs of root beer on top of the bread!!! Who does that. Either I throw them away or you throw them away. I had to go back and buy more for the holidays!! I hoped that they would give me my money back! It certainly wasn't my fault!!!!!
